Hit the nail on the head with the last paragraph. Viewers/riders/fans/whatever you call them were far more tolerant of mistakes errors and missteps from the RBTV coverage as it was free. By charging for it, WB by default has set the expectation that there is a certain level of quality that needs to be delivered if they expect people to pay money for it.

The broadcast Sunday was 3.5 hours long, if we add anymore riders to finals we will lose time seen of each run which I believe they have done better this year longer gaps with less riders you get to see more full runs. They aren't going to add more riders and make it a 5 hour broadcast. If you are saying you want a 60 men and 20 female rider final broadcast you need to be honest with yourself would you really be dialed in and super invested into these 80 runs? You are more than likely really only perked...

I think it's worth pointing out a couple of things: - The men that qualified 31st to 60th and the women that qualified 11th to 15th were never televised by Red Bull outside of a 30 second highlight reel. This resulted in no real exposure for those riders unless they happened to be on the hot seat when the televised riders started. It also meant that occasionally a non-televised rider won the race due to inclement weather (e.g. Lourdes 2017.) - Considerably more of the top rider's runs is being shown by WBD. I had 3 out of 4 winners: Ronan, Marine & Asa, I had one 2nd (Erice), one 4th (Tll Alran), one 5th (Amaury) and one 6th (Vali) Jordan in 16th, an Dak ant Pontvianne (31st & 30th)... So I when I saw the results I imagined I scored higher. Maybe actual winners should get bonus points? What a race though..

So far my biggest complaint is that I can’t set up a team. Meaning that it’s Thursday, the race is this weekend and it’s still unavailable. Just use the list from the last race and edit once qualies start. I would like to setup a team at least a week early. Dig into the web and make changes as needed. If for some reason I can’t get back to make changes I’m not hosed. PLEASE make it so we don’t have to wait until last minute to make preliminary picks.

Just hopped on Fantasy (didn't do 1st round). Just gotta say props to the guys who built up the format on here. Much easier to use system than the other site's fantasy selection.

I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there. Well that's the difference between pros and us mere mortals. If the missus finds out I go riding when I "can't do household work" I'll have more problems than just my shoulder 😅

In my experience, the downsides of a bike that are too small are more livable than the downsides of a bike that's too big. If a bike's too long it's an instant confidence killer for me on steep or technical terrain because I feel like I'm in plank position staring at the ground, whereas I can adapt pretty quickly to a bike that's too small and deal with the compromise. YMMV

The reach and stack of the S2 Demo is very close to the Small Summon. I'd recommend S2. The S3 I would think would be hard to maneuver around in terms of lifting the front wheel. I've found that on bikes with longer reach. On a downhill bike the key numbers to look at are reach and stack, this shows what it would feel like descending. A trail bike I look as well to "Effective Top Tube", but doesn't take into account your seat height well.

The DH race will take place in neighbouring city of Szczyk, on mnt. Skrzyczne. You can expect a lot of loose rocks, the area is known for that. As always there is criticism about the course, mainly from Poles, but I, myself, am stoked!
