I have created a spreadsheet with rumors on it in an attempt to calculate the points that each team will have going into 2025 and which teams will be world series teams (since this year the rankings are based on rider points). I do not have better info than anyone else, I am simply reading the forums. Not gonna lie. I saw the 75k thing (and the 30k thing that I mentioned another team floating), and I thought.. "I could just send my kid to go race with other people and probably end up saving money, but definitely end up putting much less strain on my work life." But... the whole reason we race is to spend time together as a family in interesting places doing something we all enjoy. And while it's not done economically, because we don't "dirtbag" it and instead treat most race trips more like a family vacation, the experiences are priceless... and...

These are just DH points?? Not sure if they are combining the DH and ED together since they are considering them both for the 20 teams?? That would change the list again if they add them together. Wouldn't help Gwin Racing for example but would boost Yeti up a lot I would think?? Thanks for marking the list!!! Makes it easy for simple guys like me that like pictures!

This is basically why V&R Racing exists. To help cover the travel costs for junior (women) WC racers. (We kept Taylor Ostgaard on for an extra year in Elite cuz she's just so frickin awesome.) We'd love to expand and help more racers, but for now, we'll stay focused and try to fill the need. We'd love to see more sponsors like us helping fill this gap. Points taken. Maybe we should’ve dropped that section but I thought it was quite funny that Jack said we should bleep it (none of it was planned) so that’s what I decided to do. Interested in the mx podcast comment as I don’t follow it. Do the same podcasts that break the rumours then have those riders on as guests? DH is a pretty small world & I’m conscious that I might hope to have rider x on as a guest at some stage down the track.

Yea, was my first guess too but I'm not sure he would do this move. I'd love to see him riding a proper bike next year, but after listening to Loïc's interview ( here - in french only, sorry) I can't see him getting on a team where he would sit in the shadow of another rider (kinda). That's why he left Lapierre in the first place and that is why I'm dubitative about Loris + Momo on the same team. I am no insider at all so this is pure speculation tho, I might be totally wrong 😅 Him...

One of the things I love about this sport are stories like Ronan's. Watching him on WynTV where they talk about him getting the privateer award 3 years ago, to winning his first WC race (massive kudos to Wyn and GT for what they're doing). It'd be such a loss for stories like this to become a thing of the past if WB/D continue to push the sport the way they seem to be set on.

Hit the nail on the head with the last paragraph. Viewers/riders/fans/whatever you call them were far more tolerant of mistakes errors and missteps from the RBTV coverage as it was free. By charging for it, WB by default has set the expectation that there is a certain level of quality that needs to be delivered if they expect people to pay money for it.

The broadcast Sunday was 3.5 hours long, if we add anymore riders to finals we will lose time seen of each run which I believe they have done better this year longer gaps with less riders you get to see more full runs. They aren't going to add more riders and make it a 5 hour broadcast. If you are saying you want a 60 men and 20 female rider final broadcast you need to be honest with yourself would you really be dialed in and super invested into these 80 runs? You are more than likely really only perked...
