The commentators should know if a feature like a big jump is closed of for safety reasons. As the jump was closed of a day earlier. There is a lack of present representation in the commentators boot.

Aren't the marshals along the course supposed to flag riders who are off-pace and being caught by riders who started after them? This guy would seem to be similar to a rider who gets a flat but continues to ride down the hill. Or do they give a re-run if a rider is impeded by another? They started the riders 30 seconds apart. There were 12 Elite male riders who posted times more than 30 seconds slower than the leader, and 7 of them were slower by 45 seconds or more. I have to think some of those guys were...

What's the point of a new track if the goal is to burn it in like a well known track already... Now, gap jumps up top with nearly 90 degree corners before them and exposed to whatever wind or thick air is siting up top... That's another poll but you probly don't even need to make it.

It looks like 3 sets of brothers qualified for Finals: Pierron, Alran, and Mallen (Juniors). I have no idea if that's ever been done before, but it's kind of cool to see. I'm guessing they all had good support from their families when they wanted to grow up to be bicycle racers. And maybe some good genetics to start with!

Most folks on this forum are familiar with V+R, but briefly for those who aren't, Virginia and Ryan (V+R) are two DH superfans living in the Pacific Northwest. 2026 marks our seventh season sponsoring and supporting downhill racers and our fourth season at the World Cup level.
