Yea, was my first guess too but I'm not sure he would do this move. I'd love to see him riding a proper bike next year, but after listening to Loïc's interview ( here - in french only, sorry) I can't see him getting on a team where he would sit in the shadow of another rider (kinda). That's why he left Lapierre in the first place and that is why I'm dubitative about Loris + Momo on the same team. One of the things I love about this sport are stories like Ronan's. Watching him on WynTV where they talk about him getting the privateer award 3 years ago, to winning his first WC race (massive kudos to Wyn and GT for what they're doing). It'd be such a loss for stories like this to become a thing of the past if WB/D continue to push the sport the way they seem to be set on.

Hit the nail on the head with the last paragraph. Viewers/riders/fans/whatever you call them were far more tolerant of mistakes errors and missteps from the RBTV coverage as it was free. By charging for it, WB by default has set the expectation that there is a certain level of quality that needs to be delivered if they expect people to pay money for it.

The broadcast Sunday was 3.5 hours long, if we add anymore riders to finals we will lose time seen of each run which I believe they have done better this year longer gaps with less riders you get to see more full runs. They aren't going to add more riders and make it a 5 hour broadcast. If you are saying you want a 60 men and 20 female rider final broadcast you need to be honest with yourself would you really be dialed in and super invested into these 80 runs? You are more than likely really only perked...

I think it's worth pointing out a couple of things: - The men that qualified 31st to 60th and the women that qualified 11th to 15th were never televised by Red Bull outside of a 30 second highlight reel. This resulted in no real exposure for those riders unless they happened to be on the hot seat when the televised riders started. It also meant that occasionally a non-televised rider won the race due to inclement weather (e.g. Lourdes 2017.) - Considerably more of the top rider's runs is being shown by WBD. I had 3 out of 4 winners: Ronan, Marine & Asa, I had one 2nd (Erice), one 4th (Tll Alran), one 5th (Amaury) and one 6th (Vali) Jordan in 16th, an Dak ant Pontvianne (31st & 30th)... So I when I saw the results I imagined I scored higher. Maybe actual winners should get bonus points? What a race though..

So far my biggest complaint is that I can’t set up a team. Meaning that it’s Thursday, the race is this weekend and it’s still unavailable. Just use the list from the last race and edit once qualies start. I would like to setup a team at least a week early. Dig into the web and make changes as needed. If for some reason I can’t get back to make changes I’m not hosed. PLEASE make it so we don’t have to wait until last minute to make preliminary picks.

I was born in Poland, but I grew up in California....spent 40 years there. Now I'm back in Poland...as luck would have it....in Bielsko-Biała. For the past 3 years I've been riding most of the trails that'll be used at the event. Prior to that, my resume includes mostly Skegg's Point and Braille in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a run down Mt. Lemmon outside of Tuscon, and some Tapia Canyon (Castaic, California). I'm old and mostly ride motorcycles with MTB stuff peppered in here and there.
