I can't know how they were run exactly, but I remember MS has always had one of the fancier pits on the circuit, since as far as I can remember going to WorldCups pretty much; it really stands out. How that translates into having an operation closer or further to being a privateer, I have to clue. What I can think of is that you have some top tier riders who are getting decent money and others who are on the fringe of being on any team. Depends on what the market of each rider was...

Agree, I don't think bikes play that big of a role. I mean, frames are not rocket science and, in general, geometries are pretty similar all across the World Cup. In fact, I would go as far as to say that, if frames were covered during tests, 99% of reviewers wouldn't be able to tell brands apart. Mondraker haven't scored that much cuz their riders aren't Top 10, as simple as that.

I am not getting this hate, especially from us, who are obviously outside the racing field. It is impossible to judge what a good bike is and what not and especially what a good bike COULD be. How could we, with pretty much no inside knowledge, know that? Just by sheer assumption? Assumptions without solid information are most of the times logical errors. Having success takes a whole lot of ingredients, especially in something like DH racing. I guess sometimes being in the zone and fully motivated could mean more than having a ”good” bike, whatever that may be. Related...

you don‘t seem to get it! it‘s not that no one is giving solid info, would love to have puzzles to figure out like the years prior. it‘s the repeating „i know more than you but not gonna tell, lalala…“ from ghost that‘s annoying a lot of people in here. if you scroll back at least a couple pages you‘ll see that people are still speculating and no one‘s crying that he want‘s it all now! but hey, some people these days can‘t even read a couple of pages now back to rumors/speculation ✌️
