I wasn't aware that Whyte were switching to wire power/battery as they're currently relying on the regular SRAM external battery on all of their ebikes right now. Thanks for the clarifications.

Almost but not quite. There will be a mechanical T-type spec option but that launches later when the embargo lifts. What you see is the cable which runs to the battery from the electronic RD and the controller screen at the handlebar. This looks like one hell of a bike though.

Usually you set MSRP price based on a target margin you want to hit to have X amount of net profit. Consumer price expectation is not really something quantifiable while your cost of goods, logistics & labor cost are all easily quantifiable. Comparable model market price can also be taken into consideration depending on your status and goals in a specific market.

They have so much space behind the seat tube to install all that hardware. Looks like a fun project.

Thanks Twisted Nipple (ouch)! The frames are super strong. We've had one return of a V3 frame, this was an American rider who was a big strong high level racer and hucked everything; if you watched his videos you winced. He had a crash where he bent his fork steerer, and the same time he flared the head tube a little. There was also a small bend to top tube, so we decided to retire the bike. Otherwise nothing!! And the bikes aren't being ridden gently! BLE batch #2 is coming soon, keep your eye on social media and sign...

Love your work, Joe. The answer above on geometry is a fresh take. You’ve increased gussets and frame strength over the iterations, do you think you’ve reached peak frame strength? And do you see much return rate on failures? Also, when’s the next BLE release? I hovered over buy for too long last time…

Gee I wonder where Elise Empey is going. Her robotic style was on point and she lugged that bike to solid results

I kinda assumed that Norco took a look at the landscape, saw an opening amongst North American (and specifically Canadian) brands, and is now making a longer term play to increase its market presence. Basically step into a void created by Rocky Mountain and Devinci, both of which are withering.

You know how rich dorks move into the cool neighborhood and then start complaining about the nightclub’s noise and the neighborhood starts sucking and becomes lame and they’re all looking around like what? That’s what this feels like. Union embodied the passion that truly drives the sport. Their whole thing was to help, not to earn. Pricing them out is not better for anyone.

Looking at the video I'd say the running order is Laurie, Peaty, maybe Felix Griffiths?, Jackson, Nina and Ellie.

Probably free bikes? Maybe Schroeder can ask Dak on the next podcast. I'd much rather have the Stark than Brook's GasGas 😉 The DH influencers are working on me, I just put one on my Xmas list. Don't disappoint me Santa!

I’m really of two minds on looking for who it could be. On the one hand, I want to know so that “justice” or “retribution” can be enacted, but on the other hand, I feel like doing the sleuthing to figure out who it was takes power away from Ares and that she should have the right to name the accused in her own time.

Talking to a inside guy at my shop about the new Shimano Groups. Their will be Deore / SLX / XT / XTR Wireless Sets at the beginning of 2025. They are not like the Road Groups with a wire to Accu System. Cassettes will be 9-45 and 10-51. he said their will be NO new Saint Group! The Brake we all saw and thought it must be the new saints, will be the new XTR 4-Piston Brake.

Ahhh his Messi point is silly because it's the SECOND bullet, not the FIRST. 🤣 The more this guy posts in defense of WBD, the more I'm convinced it's Ball's burner account.

The difference between the 2 is that Red Bull's events are private events, organised, produced & broadcast by them. They can invite whoever they want, no one can argue otherwise. WBD are organising World Cups on behalf of the UCI, the world governing body for competitive cycling events. They should be completely neutral & the only way to be free from bias/influence is to go off points for all teams. Personal opinion... I don't agree with handing control of the highest level of a sport to a TV production company to shape it how they want. I think I might've...
