This will hopefully live long as one of the best pieces of journalism our sport has ever produced, right up there with Mike Ferrentino and Steve Jones’ best. Olly and Davi were incredibly well prepared, and so gentle, engaging, and patient, all at the same time. They should be proud of their side of the work here. But obviously Rob’s candor and vulnerability was the biggest takeaway. It's a time thing. Haven't shelved it or anything. Evil links require more tooling despite being simpler to machine once that tooling is done. We're a pretty small company so time is hard to come by.

The admittedly unclear implication was that “we” derailed the thread and I neither endorsed unsanctioned trails nor demonized them. I just gave us a new place to argue about it. Most of us interpret what riders do or say, in order to try to understand where they are heading. BKs podcasts are so good as he just throws it out, $60k less budget compared to last year, riders keep the same salary and he takes the loss. And that sponsors are serious about reducing or even canceling enduro sponsorhip as there is simply no exposure from it. Also interesting bit about the Dyfi and how much that park does for the local comunity and that Dan has been elected as city council :D

I couldn’t see FMD leaving Canyon, either. Between all the rumbles about MS Intense and Intense stating they’re going to support a more youthful, US based team, add to that Jeff blatantly posting they’re sponsoring two teams, I highly doubt it. With Tanhee being a top 5 racer and Instagram posi-talk role model, I think she would be considered good ROI on Canyon’s part.

Mate, I think you are confused. No one is arguing about the existence of a Mondraker team. MS team is switching from Mondraker to Intense frame sponsorship. David Trummer riding an M1 and all the Intense and MS social media posts back this up. Mondraker is starting a new factory team. Ronan and Pinky look pretty solid. Dak still posting riding his Intense DJ bike suggests he could end up on MS to replace Brook, but earlier rumours suggested he was going to Mondraker. We'll know soon enough.

Sounded too absurd to be true until I looked at Kona's website. They must be really desperate to unload old inventory. There were supposed to be new frames coming this year, but I'd heard they were pulling back from that plan along with all the other cost-cutting. Maybe they really do have new frames on the way and need to clear out the warehouse? Whatever the specific reason, it's bizarre to see models launched just a couple months ago included in a BOGO sale.

Gwinn is not signing with anyone in 2024. Will buy his own bikes and do his own thing. Martin whitely will be helping and running the Frameworks team Macdonald to yeti, they are running a DH team from 2024 onwards. Richie Rude will be riding EWS as a main for 23 and doing some DH races in '24 The ews will fold in 2025 along with other Enduro style races due to terrible coverage and marketing over the last 2 years. That would mean a completely different set of price ranges offered by Sram. And would destroy their complete bike offerings in the lower price ranges. No cable actuation would mean a big chunk of the market would be left to Shimano, TRP, Box, upcoming Chinese manufacturers?
