I tried the race lever,with a saint caliper. If anything,the bite point wandering was even worse.

If you want a review of what we have seen in the shop regarding this drivetrain, I have it. Pretty much everything he described is accurate, but the rear derailleur has one critical flaw: The sealing on the guide pulley pivot/ clutch mechanism is sub par. At least 1/4 of the many xt 12s drivetrains we have sent out/ serviced suffer from premature corrosion in the clutch. It is so bad that sometimes the cage cannot return to its tensioning position when shifting to higher gears. Best case it causes very inconsistent clutch breakaway torque. You can identify it by...

Honestly, as a long time rider and bike tester I'd steer clear of Trek for one reason - **warranty**. They are not very good at supporting their bikes, and despite what their warranty may read, I have had issues as others have. Their bikes perform pretty well, but there are equally as good performers usually to be found for less money. On an unrelated note, anyone want a Top Fuel Trek has decided not to warranty? How about a Slash frame that is also broken? LOL.

We use a combination of full face helmets, other rattling parts on the bike and a pair of 47-year old ears to fix it. ;-)

That was my bad, I was the out of towner and I should have. I thought we were just gonna ride slabs and stuff which aren't trails for any kind of bike but the last trail was a bike only trail.

LOL how the "enthusiasm to find a solution with Slik" came only after the backlash...typical big corp backtrack. This topic is done... now we can just let them sort it out so peeps can buy decals again.

@Bizutch I punctured about 10 sets of EXO tires over 2 years, once poking a hole through front and rear tires at the same time, and I'm done with light tires forever. Not worth it.

I made the mistake of dropping down to a TRS Trail casing tire from E13 and had my first 2 cuts(on my 1st 2 rides on it) in the crown of a tire in (and I could be wrong)...but I think it's literally been decades since I cut any tire on the crown/knobs.
