This is a cool piece, but I hope everyone read the disclaimer on the last slide and paid particular attention to the statement "The models are an approximation to the real bikes..." The truth is you can't get a very accurate model without measuring these bikes extremely accurately. Example: I was discussing something about our suspension with our design team, and asked if changing something by a millimeter or two would have a noticeable effect on the bike. Their reply was, "Millimeter?! We were laboring over thousandths of a inch!!"

Kelly had this endless, never-healing zombie elbow that he kept tearing open, over and over again. It looked like a road rashed ballsack with a pastrami skin-graft. This morning has been a whirlwind of emotions. Trying to fight back tears and sadness, while simultaneously laughing at some of the adventures and stories. Kelly was an amazing person and I'm fortunate enough to have known him for a number of years. One of the Kelly memories that came up this morning was from 2011 at the US open. Indeed, the Minion DHF is the best all-conditions mountain bike tire of all time. Maybe you were riding the 2.3" 650b tire in a hard compound, or some other weird iteration? Because I agree, that tire sucks.
