4/16/2026 10:10am We need an electrical engineer to step in here, but I think that there is something related to the rate the power is used that these small battery packs can't provide the power the motor requires. So, a smaller RE would also limit power. Not talking about the range, but specifically the power levels. That said, it does look horrible.

4/16/2026 10:06am If I was looking for a bike I wouldn't let it not being an avinox motor be the deciding factor. Buy a bike from whatever shop you like, these are going to break, have errors and software bugs Buy something with the Geo/Travel you want for the riding style you like, this will mean more than the motor Really think about what you want do you want power for short rides or range for longer adventure rides. I still think the Bosch system balance this ratio the best. After riding the m2 system I am not immediately thinking oh I...

4/16/2026 10:05am Unno updates the Mith with Avinox M2S: LIFE, TURNED ON - THE NEW UNNO MITH Let’s get this out of the way first. Yes, the new MITH makes 130Nm of torque. Yes, peak power hits 1300 watts. Yes, there’s an 800Wh battery and a 508W GaN fast charger that’ll take you from dead to 75% in 90 minutes, full in 2h 25. Cool numbers. Now forget them. Because what actually matters is what those numbers feel like when you’re halfway up a climb you used to dread, and suddenly you’re not counting meters anymore. You’re looking for side hits. That’s...

4/14/2026 12:43pm I always thought this Lefty demonstration was intriguing. I think the industry has different standards on fork flex these days, but I wanted to try a Lefty after watching this BITD. Let’s also not forget all the wacky moves Aaron Chase used to do with one…

4/14/2026 12:08pm Radial Rock Razor, that would be cool! But there are better tires on the horizon
Trying to determine this tire snapshot from just the side profile is actually pretty hard, especially since we do prototype testing with the Cannondale Factory Team. But i think the boring answer is the correct one in this case, and to me it looks like a Rick. Edit: Found another shot from the same photo shoot. It was a Race Pro Thunderburt... Back to tire school

4/14/2026 12:07pm Flow mountain bike stated it was because of the friction reductions sram employed in the new vivid made the touchdown feature no longer needed. SRAM claims it’s the most supple air shock on the market. Flow said that the touchdown technology was essentially a bandaid fix to friction and flow issues on the previous generation that have since been worked out.

4/14/2026 11:43am You stated before that you never noticed any flex from your previous F35. Now that you've ridden the F38 (I presume that you've ridden it by now) can you comment on the F35 vs. F38 and include your weight, conditions, riding level? Why did you make this change over? Thx.

4/14/2026 11:39am Not really an issue as much as it would be a welcome addition. It is somewhat easy to burp Intend forks by loosening the top nut a bit with a 10mm socket and pushing down. Better than flipping the bike over and using a little zip tie in the wiper seal. The Italian Guy puts bleeders in the crown. Speaking of Intend forks, I was at Bootleg Canyon in Nevada this past weekend and there is a trail feature there known affectionately as The Poop Chute. It's a jagged solid rock waterfall full of notches and ledges. It has a...

4/14/2026 11:36am I've never felt the difference of a battery swap back-to-back but lots of people have stated this, even swapping the battery in the same bike, so I'm going to presume that it's quite true. This is another Con against the high-power motors, as they require so much weight up high to power these darn motors.

4/14/2026 11:31am I think there’s more to it than weight. I got to ride the TQ Sight and the Avinox Pivot. I think they’re within 3 pounds of one another, both under 50 and despite the Norco having a longer (high pivot) rear end it was still markedly more playful than the pivot. The 800Wh battery stretched out in the downtube makes a big difference in the inertia you have to overcome to get the front wheel off the ground rotating about the rear axle.

4/14/2026 8:26am But the way they deliver their power is one of the best things about the Dominions. We've got enough brakes that build power gradually, give me a lot of bite and a fast ramp up.
