We'll be looking out for this new pump from Feedback next week at Sea Otter. Imagine what 1500W will do to that tubeless tire you've been trying to seat?

One challenge with low volume apparel is amortizing the development cost. Soft goods sometimes cost more to develop than hard goods as it's a ton of labor making patterns, sewing up samples, testing, reworking the protos, repeat this several times, then have the factory make a few pre-production samples to make sure they interpreted your tech pack correctly. You also need to validate for durability (all brands do this, right? RIGHT?). It's as much voodoo as it is hard science, which means lots of back and forth. Yes, we give them CAD files for patterns, but it's still all hand...

You’d be much better served saving the money you’d use for a shock to invest in a modern bike. As unique as that Cannondale was, full suspension bikes from the era are extremely outdated and not really ideal for any application. I suggest looking at gravel bikes with more relaxed geometry or even something like a rigid bike-packing focused rig if you’re just going to be tooling around on the road for a while. Then when you’re ready you can buy a new mountain bike and have two awesome steeds. If you can even mount a modern shock on that...

Not sure what they're doing with this information lol But if they are looking to start a shop and people are recommending Polygon, Canyon, Commencal, and even YT... Only time I ever saw 40ish was on lower end stuff.. I've seen a few companies offer even better on some entry level bikes, but I can't confirm that number as we weren't a dealer.

It will be interesting to see how the Supreme Court looks at this.. Remember, there are a couple of right leaning justices who are known to to be constitutionalists and have ruled against Trump.. Looking at the top end pricing on the new Fuel, Trek might be tightening up it's margins a bit.. I know several companies have been trying to absorb as much of the tariffs as possible to avoid pricing themselves out of the game at a retail level. Had someone try to tell me that shops were making a 50% margin on top end bikes.. Spending most...

Yes you can definitely drill an alloy frame for internal dropper routing. I even took a gamble and drilled a carbon frame for it too, haven't had any issues with that one yet.

You can do that? My oldest son is on an alloy bike with no routing for a dropper and I had wondered if that was a thing. Mainly because I have a take off dropper that fits his bike other than being an internal cable dropper.

Brines – thanks for those finance blogs, some solid reads in there. I’m subscribing. On Rapha (and bike apparel in general), saw someone in the thread say, “Walmart bought it, I’m out.” Bit unfair, no? It wasn’t Walmart—it’s the Walton grandsons. Say what you want, but they’re bike fans. And if we’re being honest, if any of us were billionaires, we’d probably scoop up some cool bike brands too. I think they’ve also got their hands in Allied and Wahoo? Honestly, not the worst portfolio if you’re trying to uplift cycling. Rapha’s got a new CEO too, and from what...

Just finished listening to the PB podcast and found it a bit funny that Dario said this fork needed a lot of time for set up and fine tuning. Kind of the opposite take away from the Robot's feedback of - get the air in it and the general guidelines and its really good. Not that you weren't tinkering and fine tuning @TEAMROBOT , it was just how Dario emphasized the need for set up time and my takeaway from your Big Bear video was - do the general set up and send it, you'll be happy. shrug Also, this...

Glad I stocked up on bikes and parts for cheap in the past couple years. Truck Fonald Dump and the idiotic sycophants who still support him. This is beyond stupid and if you don't realize that by now, you never will, even as you're struggling to feed your own children.
