7/15/2025 6:33pm I just use side cutters or diagonal cutters and send it. It's worked sweet for all my braided. You could also use a cutting disc and wrap some insulation tape around your cut point.

6/26/2025 5:15pm I’m sure I’m not the only one who breathed a sigh of relief when Troy crossed the line green last week when it seemed like the track was getting harder as the race progressed. And while i understand the perspective of no court ruling daprela is responsible means they can’t really stop him from racing. But basically eso has pretended that there are no fairly substantiated allegations from the beginning. And it seems as his results have improved closer to where they were more and more media groups seem to be willing to give him a spotlight without an asterisk...

6/14/2025 1:42pm Hey, I’m Ryan Burney. I’ve been engineering bikes for 8 years, and this is a breakdown of what I’ve learned starting my own small business, Rim Saver. In this post, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned while launching a product business in the bike world. What worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently. If it helps even one person take the leap or avoid a mistake, it’ll be worth it. Background I made the first version of Rim Saver in college. The idea started out as a beadlock concept, then evolved into a beadlock with rim protection, then just rim...

5/28/2025 10:25pm i just want to make one last comment re: deleting pics, community etc then i'll be quiet. over the last few years, i've become very aware of how much of a privilege it is to be a part of a community that is supported by some of the best brands in our game. but the key word here is community...YOU all are the community. without you and your sleuthing, your knowledge, your stoke for the sport and its equipment, or your informed opinions, vital wouldn't be very special. with that said, if all vital does is bow down to brands...

5/26/2025 3:10pm It's an interesting topic you bring up @TEAMROBOT as with all things mtb it's hard to seperate marketing with actual tangible benefits. It's especially relevant to me, aka 'a bike nerd who is easily sucked in'. I've spend a fair bit of time on a charger 3 zeb and ohlins rxf38 for the conventional fork camp and now a bit...

5/21/2025 11:54pm Did the old brightness trick on the EXT pic from their instagram. Cant tell much from the pic, but there are some differences compared to the V4. Cant spot it from this angle, but if its a cheaper version as someone earlier commented, we can suspect that it doesnt come with an HBO, or at least not an adjustable one as the V4. Adjustors/lockout look similar otherwise. Possibly a normal/heavy spring instead of their lighter springs. And it looks to be a "regular" chrome(?) shaft, instead of the V4's DLC coated shaft. Might be some other differences, but it will...

5/12/2025 1:43am So stoked to see a proper enduro race and good coverage of it! Warning, mini essay on the state of Enduro ahead! I know the that downhill is more spectacular, and it’s certainly easier to cover, but there is something about proper enduro that really draws me in. One aspect is definitely that it’s more relatable — it’s the kind of riding and racing that I do. I can easily imagine just how fried they feel after 4 big days, or a after completing a long taxing stage where you’re just hanging on. But even moreso, it’s the narrative of...

5/5/2025 1:06am Neko and Logan are brilliant at getting visibility in a way that feels genuine and likeable, and Asa is benefitting. Without knowing what goes on behind the scenes, I'd wager that Logan is a huge part of that success with the video production. They might be a small, low budget team, but the long-term benefit to Asa is substantial. We feel like we know the guy already, that's huge in today's media landscape. I have nothing but respect for that whole crew.

5/5/2025 1:06am or maybe he just likes the low-key vibes of working with neko and has a good support system where he is. playing the long game of success, comfort, familiarity and fun vs short game of some cash but with a team that may not culturally gel or a bike that doesn't work for him right away.

4/20/2025 2:21am Actually looks like you could get a good angle by just orienting the brake lever fully downwards. That bleed port (if that’s what it is) would pretty much be at the highest point of the reservoir in that position. And there’s nothing around the inside of the reaervoir to trap air there.

4/19/2025 4:46pm Hopes actually are good to bleed if you excuse the last step. You don't actually need a kit in a pinch and you can do it with the pads in. Wonder if you could mod a v4 resi to the same as a maxima one with the port on the vertical outside edge of the reservoir.
