3/12/2026 5:19pm Vital should create a way to embed a post on another site... would save those sneaky PBers some time.

3/12/2026 5:19pm Agree, citing the vital user would be the proper way to acknowledge copyright and also a nice nod. PB usually cites vital, which... I know we're talking internet forums here, but I have to deal w/copyright pretty frequently as a doc filmmaker and if i wanted commercial use of an image I found on this forum, I would need permission directly from the user/photographer.

3/12/2026 5:13pm That got me thinking about who makes fancy squishy bits, off the top of my head: - PUSH - Vorsprung - EXT - Fast - Bright - Manitou (arguable?) - Cane Creek (arguable?) Who else?

3/12/2026 5:13pm What an interesting turn this would be, they already make backpacks and tailgate pads so there could be something to this. If I were a ski brand, after this abysmal winter in the west, I’d also be diversifying the portfolio to adding summer products… Big investment if true but the bike looks sick.

3/12/2026 3:55pm The public has spoken, they prefer skinny downtubes over better handling. Even though many have documented that lowering the weight in this place is very noticeable and in a good way. My personal opinion is that Bosch should offer a skinny 800 (or more) battery to match what Avinox is doing as an option for the manufacturers. They can still offer the fat 800 if they prefer. I'm susceptible as well to the fashion statement. I wanted a 600w battery and I didn't want my bike to look pregnant and obviously be an e-bike. If the LTe had a narrow...

3/12/2026 3:49pm Slim downtube also means that the battery has to be longer which raises the center of gravity which is bad for handling. Yeah, a nice looking bike is cool and all but I'd rather have good handling tbh. If you want big capacity batteries the cells have to go somwhere... I wish reviewers would take that aspect more into account because with my experiences how an ebike handles has a lot of do how much weight is placed in specific ways. Most reviewers only address a chunky bike with something like 'I didn't feel the weight' or at most 'the...

3/12/2026 3:44pm My 801 experience remains worth it. Slam-dunkingly so. Very hyped on whatever’s next, as apparently I’m still in the Stone Age with this ripping repeater that’ll deliver me more damn trail than I can handle, day after day after day! on Repeat(er)

3/12/2026 3:39pm You can very easily boost the transition to 160/170. I’d get that and if you want more travel it’s there.

3/12/2026 3:30pm If you've narrowed it down to two, there are many more important factors there than travel. Which bikes ? And where do you do most of your riding ? I'm a pretty big fan of more travel on e-bikes since there's no penalty in terms of battery life. I do lots of riding west of calgary, e-bike is a good time around canmore area. You'll be trying silly climbs. Rolling terrain without much vertical, like the edmonton river valley, is pretty lame on an e-bike. But it's pretty lame on an acoustic bike too, hah !

3/12/2026 3:26pm from Hans Rey about ebike development Link: https://hansrey.com/blog/ An Open Letter to the Bicycle Industry By Hans Rey To the leaders, builders, advocates, and riders who shape our industry, I’m writing because I care deeply about where bicycles—and electric bicycles—are headed. We are at a crossroads. The decisions we make about language, power limits, and definitions will determine whether Class 1 e-bikes remain accepted as bicycles—or get grouped with much more powerful machines that don’t belong in the same category. It’s time to define our language and it’s time to draw a line in the sand of when e-bikes become...

3/12/2026 3:08pm Are there really that many casual greenway riders/commuters that will spend $9k+ on a bike? No prob with that crowd, more people on "real" mountain bikes the better but I'm not seeing it with these prices. Edit: new Giant Stance E+ just dropped and starts at $4,700 so here's your greenway commuter for almost 1/2 the price. Who's picking the Levo R over that?

3/12/2026 3:06pm I want range which mean often times a big battery. My 50+ lb bike can do anything my 40# enduro bike can do on the descents. I want to ride big routes in the mountains and enjoy them or ride up shit that used to be hike-a-bike only. I would agree if was the mid power or SL bikes were the only options I wouldnt buy one. I have a moto thats a completely different activity. Climbing on my ebike with friends I can still talk and have a conversation. Riding moto you have 20 mins total of conversation for...

2/11/2026 4:35pm Great question. I don't know yet. I'm going to ride the fork when it gets back without any additional info, and then follow up with Push to get the details. Whenever possible, I try to know less during a product test so I can hopefully avoid confirmation bias.
