8/14/2024 12:05pm can we please get back to rumors and stop the compression, damping and leverage ratio talk in here. pretty sure there must be a nerding out on suspension thread in here somewhere 😊 THX!!!

8/1/2024 11:15pm I try to avoid hype and buy products on their merits. Brands are corporations, not your friend. Although I do need to branch out on tyres... Edit: I articulated my thoughts poorly but I think in general, reciprocity is largely dead these days. And I don't buy enough of anything to be important enough for a brand to be "loyal" to me in return.

8/1/2024 12:54pm I dunno, maybe it's not a bad idea to stay off of forums where people discuss racing until you've watched the race. It's a strategy that's always worked for me.😉

7/24/2024 12:18pm No one is forcing you to buy a wireless only bike, so far there is one option and we know an aluminium one is coming as the lower spec version, that one is cable actuated, if SC do bring an option that’s wireless only then no one is going to force you to buy that either. New niche brands are popping up everywhere that are steel, cnc ally, and building a brand on simplicity and reliability , it makes sense that you’ll have the opposite end of the spectrum; carbon and wireless only. This forum has really become as uncle...

7/23/2024 3:51am Because Specialized handle it so well. Whereas a lot of other brands begrudge warranty and make any claims an absolute ballache. The amount of failures is also directly related for the amount they sell too. Proportionally it’s probably very similar to everyone else.

7/13/2024 12:57pm To me, there's a big difference between 45 and 50 lbs in terms of how the bike feels on the trail, and in life in general. The 45 lbs bike I just spent two days on really did have me forgetting I was on an e-bike at times. Even hoisting the thing up onto a lift is "OK" (granted, I'm not a small dude and even though I'm old, the Viking genes are still going strong :-) ). A couple of months ago I spent two days riding a 50 lbs Turbo Levo, and although for general "shredding" that's a...

7/11/2024 3:43am that’s because enduro mtb are some of the least critical reviews out there and industry bootlickers. „It looks so clean, sick!“ way too much focused on being hip and bros and pushing the newest shit on people compared to other media outlets.

7/9/2024 4:09am Im so utterly baffled by the comments on the Stumpy Its not a proprietary shock, its simply only currently available on the Stumpy, give it a hot minute, and I bet you'll see it available.... Its not exclusively running Fox suspension, as there is an Ohlins model available....Which should mean that both coil is acceptable, and pretty much any other shock will work (might require an appropriate tune) Mullet is an option on S3 and up sizing.... simply buy some stick on cable guides and run whatever you want on it. All of you "cry out" for external routing anyway...

6/25/2024 4:21am BUT,,,,Massanutten 97 was roughly an 1/8 mile longer track that came out of the woods, crossed the slope to the riders right, had a flat sprint across what is the current finish/expo area, and then passed that lift and finished ALL the way down at the base lodge. Nice try. I was there. Thanks for saying I'm faster than World Cup pros. I got 5th at Massanutten in 2001 in Pro/Ex.

6/25/2024 1:38am If you had a Stevo and didn’t think it was good then i think you need to look inwards my friend, those bikes freaking rip. They were designed to use an air shock.. if you want to run a coil then deal with the consequences.

5/14/2024 3:54am The amount of people butthurt about e-bike racing is cringy. I actually like how most enduro formats are adapting it to allow for technical climbs and descents. I DON'T like that course makers are just punting the regular enduro crowd to the same tracks. Seems like that's part of the rider feedback as well.
