I was excited when Giro started sewing some of their high end apparel in California a few years back. I purchased 2 pair of the same $150 shorts in different colors. I love that they were made in the USA, but I dislike how they fit totally different from one another and the fact that my hand does not physically fit through the pocket opening on one pair.

Somewhat of a contradiction there. How does automation bring jobs back to the USA. To use your cotton example...what happened to all the cotton pickers?

“Some domestic manufacturers of bikes and accessories support the latest round of tariffs, especially in light of the March tariffs on steel and aluminum, which benefitted their competitors who imported complete products. For example, Chris Fortune, the president and owner of Saris Cycle Group, wrote a commentary posted on BRAIN Monday in support of the tariffs.” "These increased tariffs will help level the playing field for American manufacturers like Saris. We are not asking for special treatment, but rather for an equal playing field in a nondiscriminatory business environment. We are invigorated by competition and our commitment to American craftsmanship...

MPH24 makes a very valid point. I don't know many people in the western world who want to hand lay carbon and wear a mask all day (not to mention repeating the same task over and over and over). The same could be said for aluminum frames. Not a very attractive workplace. Jobs are great and all, but careers today are not made from working on an assembly line. You need skills. Be those technical skills, retail skills or whatever... the bang out a thousand of the same model jobs are dead and/or dying.

They can just funnel the Taiwanese bikes thru Mexico- the Cartel can then get their mules to ride them thru the desert to the local bike stores.

'Democrats, or Republicans' was not mentioned. I hope you do see the relevance of the cost of cycling goods to a cycling site though. News that will most likely affect everyone should just be seen as that, news, not bias. Plus, this article had good arguments for and against, which should be the standard of quality news. Better to be educated than insulated.

That lever really looks sweet. However, I have to say, I was pretty turned off on your company, PNW, when a query about a dropper post went unanswered a while back. Never got an answer so I went with your competition.

There's always a silver lining in gloomy news such as this. We should all be glad that he was home in a controlled environment where he could be helped rapidly and not out riding on some trail in a foreign country. Everyone, including Jared should be grateful that he was diagnosed and that treatment is under way. If it went undiagnosed who knows what would of happened. Medical science is wonderful these days and I hope he has a speedy recovery. Stay Strong.

As somewhat of a representative from Cush Core I can tell you that it will not stop tires from ripping. As much as we would love to stop 100% of flats, it just simply cannot be done in this day and age. This track was full of shape, angular rocks and I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that Pierron's tire failed rather than the Cush Core.
