You can rip on their English translation skills all you want, but I'll wager it's a helluvalot better than your Mandarin. Their derailleur architecture looks more aligned to Sunrace's RDM series, just with a battery pack and servo rather than a pulley and housing stop.

Wheeltop's G(supertinymisplaced)e X is to SRAM AXS GX as Transmorphers is to Transformers, or Chop Kick Panda to Kung Fu Panda. Who do they think they'll fool with that branding?

Hardly fair to imply the OneUp post falls into the cheap but unreliable category. You'll find outliers that have replaced a number of cartridges, others who occasionally service them, and yet others still who've more or less never had to service them. Other than cleaning the collar and adding slick honey to the seal head, I've never had to do a take-apart service of any of my oneup posts after years of use. Where were you for the first 5 years of dropper posts? Maybe you've moved the goalposts since but 90% of the stuff from that era is going...

I had a bike yoke dropper. Worked great. When it needed a rebuild I learned it was a damn Rube Goldberg device. After three attempts, I gave it away. Maybe the partnership didn’t work out because the device wasnt complicated enough. Maybe OneUp wants it. Edit: sure like my 4 OneUp posts that work just fine, even if not perfect, and can rebuilt in 10 minutes. would gladly buy a electronic adaptor and spare myself the hassle of internal cable routing on some bikes with headache -inducing routing.

Turns out it was not on good terms. BikeYoke has entered the chat and apparently this product doesn't been the German standards. Sorry for beating the dead horse but context needs to be present for vital readers

For those who didn't leave this page (an attitude that I support): - OG bikeworks was developing an aftermarket kit for dropper posts (don't know which brands), to go where the actator usually sits. That was before working with BikeYoke - OG collaborated with BikeYoke to integrate it into their post - they couldn't settle on terms and terminated the collaboration - OG is now back at the aftermarket approach and plans to have something ready in 6 months FWIW, this is OG's version of the story, BikeYoke / Sacki didn't seem to be present in the MTBR thread

with my awesome brain fog I forgot about the black version, was just thinking about the silver lugged version they've also been using. If that is an ebike in the back, could be a kenevo, or perhaps they're going away from the stumpy design for the full power levo. Low slung shock.

Took a gander at loics post, the dh bike that you can see behind the mechanic has a different headtube, not a silver lugged one like the previous prototype bike has. My guess is production frame, as it's most likely carbon or aluminum. There is also an enduro bike pictured in the background, would be cool if specialized updated that...

Probably because Sacki is a whiny baby, I would loathe to develop something with him too...

Back in the old days you could mix and match drivetrain parts to your hearts content. These days that's a thing very few people do, integration and systemisation is the name of the game. While having a standard motor bolt pattern (that would define the spindle location too, obviously) would be great, but then you'd need to standardise the battery mounting/size and communication to motor too. And possible controls. Or something along those lines. I'm afraid it's more likely we are going to see more and more integration (more margin for the bike brand) vs. more standardisation.

So its Ohlins, right? unless I'm missing something, only Fox, Ohlins, Formula, and BOS make both MTB and other suspension products, so that's who it's gotta be

One company that manufactures MTB suspension is currently already doing kinetic energy recovery damping for factory motorsport applications. It is not one of the big 2 either.

I talked to a factory rider of a well known d2c brand. He also had ridden an Amflow bike with the dji motor and said he’s never ridden a bike with this good of a motor. He rode stuff up that he considered unridable on any other e-bike including his own sponsors e-bike. And the current e-bike of his sponsor is really good, but no dji motor. But there are lots of bike companies that have the dji motor already in house and build prototypes. HOWEVER… There are management concerns (I assume that counts for all bike brands the same)...
