Bottom link rotates backwards to compress the shock from the bottom. There is a virtual pivot much higher than the idler pulley, but that's fine because the lower link, that rotates backwards, is where the idler is mounted so it moves backwards too. This means you don't need a sky high pulley location, so more efficiency, shorter chain, less frame material, less stress on the frame and bearings, etc. Brilliant.

Quick anecdote: I’ve convinced myself to race the MSC DH at Targhee, and the Geometron G1 I pieced together isn’t quite what I hoped it would be, at least not yet. Hence, I started looking for a proper DH bike that wouldn’t break the bank and every bike that was in my budget is out of stock. Then I started shopping for a handful of other DH-adjacent items, shoes, pants, gear, etc., and had the same reaction: inventory feels noticeably lighter across the board. And again, bargain pricing also seems much harder to find. Really hard, actually, which I guess...

True, but team riders aren't always on "stock" bikes. If the geometry ticks most of the boxes and they offer this bike in a 130 or 140 mm rear travel that is coil-compatible, one of my kids might not be going to college.

Dropouts concept makes me excited (seeing plus 0 in photos so hopefully these bring some looong chainstays home) but damn that head tube length feels like low stack bike... uh oh. Fingers crossed for release (assuming within a few days).

Here’s a quick summary of the Eden and where we are with it now. All #cad has been buttoned up for sizes medium-xl and sent off for quotes by three companies. One being our US machine shop we will retain for all our prototypes and any semi-custom bikes anyone wants ordered. Our other factories are based in China and they have been vetted fully to meet our standards for environmental and social standards as well as precision.
