I think the truth is most likely boring but somewhere between "review forks are rebuilt by Jordi himself adding a pinch of magic" and they just get pulled out of the full normal production line. It's very likely that review units AT INITIAL LAUNCH were not built on the full on assembly line like forks will be after release. This...

A few remarks regarding the Diaz video, since he is a suspension service tech, especially for new fork models, all the issue he sees are extrapolated by the fact that customer send him in case of issues, there probably a good amount of new forks in Diaz market that don't have those issues so they don't get sent to him. Same for any other suspension service center with fresh out of the box forks. Also fork alignment work in tandem with the tolerance of the front hub used. Not every front boost hub is 110.00 mm wide. This can have...

Felt this needed an echo to show that Fox is still Fox, inverted or not. You think the forks they sent Vital, PB, and all the other media outlets are like this. 😉

Can't remember which race, but it was on the WB broadcast for the final when Neko was the color commentary. something to the effect of "wow look at him charge that section, this guy won't take 'no' for an answer!"

Jeff Kendall Weed has a great series of slow mo shots in his Podium video with side by side comparisons of front tire skids with the 36SL, 38, and Podium, and it's pretty wild how much fore/aft flex he gets out of the two RSU forks compared to the Podium. Doesn't look like much in the still, but it's a lot of motion back and forth in the vid. Also I just now noticed he's wearing loafers for the shot, which is the most JKW thing you'll see all week. I think it makes an interesting watch for anyone, but...

Yeah I'm with you Brash. I'm going to wait and see how this fork goes for the heavier riders, but I'm definitely keen. I'm only 80kg but for some reason I have huge issues with fork reliability with all brands I've tried, so I want something really beefy and reliable but not overly stiff. The Lyrik is my favourite chassis, I'm on a 38 at the moment which is a bit too stiff torsionally but now has too much bushing play and flaps around a bit too much, and my air spring just cooked itself again, so I'm looking forward...

I'm all for karma catching up on those who deserve it. Daves summary is spot on BTW. lemon gets it. " If you're innocent you don't typically pay off the victim and threatened publications with legal consequences if they report on anything."

Long time wc photographer D ave Trumpore left this comment on pinkbike in relation to Daprella not being included in any photos. " if you punch someone in the face and don't get charged with assault that doesn't mean you didn't punch them in the face... and often times money buys silence ;-)" supporting the allegations and rumours of a payout/ threat of legal action to sites. Is quite saddening to see allegations of such a nature be so easily brushed under the rug with money even in the small world of mtb.

I like the idea of an inverted fork that I don't have to worry about sourcing parts from a small manufacturer on the other side of the world. I had enough trouble trying to replace a broken suspension pivot both from Propain USA. I tracked down the Executive VP of US operations's email to get that taken care of. Fox...

Im curious to see how it is, it looks to me it’s in a position where air can get trapped underneath the diaphragm, so I’d still bleed them the normal way

https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/hope-technology-unveils-evo… The new Hopes are revealed, I assume 6% increase in piston size from 18/16 means 18/18mm I might give these a go when they come out with the power levers

New 38's all have regular round steerer tubes, the oval one was phased out over a year ago.

This. Without the inner tube on the 38, you get a lot of inherent progression from the lower, like on the Zeb. Then people like me add on a Noken to counter it. Looks like at least 1 WC rider was running something similar on their Boxxer last race too.

Fox is going to replace the separate internal air spring of the 38 and put a regular starter tube instead of the oval internal one it has now to save weight. New FOX 38SL launching 2026. (This is basically the current Marzocchi Super Z + a grip X2 damper)
