2/24/2025 12:00pm Could make sense, in conjunction with the updated Hope master cylinder with a bleed screw on it recently.

2/24/2025 11:58am Interesting. A gearbox makes more sense in terms of justifying a total redesign of the bike. Because there's a lot more that's different in the bb/linkage/shock area. The lower shock bolt alone is at least 3-4" higher. If there is a gearbox under there, that doesn't leave a lot of space for the old 6-bar design so there would probably have to be a new layout, as well. Cool stuff either way.

2/24/2025 11:57am Arkansas offers a bunch of incentives for people to move there and it’s also easier for companies to sell in Walmart if they have a store in Bentonville… (highly doubt a higher end direct to consumer bike brand is looking to sell in Walmart though haha) plus the Walton’s have been dumping tons of money into the bike industry, which shouldn’t be taken as a bad thing.. yes, they are not just doing it out of charity and are going to be trying to profit from their investment; however, they’re doing a lot of things that normal industry players never...

2/21/2025 10:27am Spider is incredibly fun. Kids 12 and under ride and race free there, btw! They even have a super cute motel on site with a marina and a pool. Just across the street from Spider is RPR, which is a ranch full of sweet slopestyle and enduro stuff(and a niiice floodlit ds track)… 20 minutes away is Station mtb park, a tractor shuttle spot(that is getting a fresh DS track). When I go to Central TX to build trail every winter, I plan it all around how close my air bnb is to Burnett. TX Hillcountry winter riding is really...

2/21/2025 10:26am If you bend any part of the frame, are you sure nothing else got bent? Overstressed? How sure you are you can only replace one part and don't need to replace the whole frame?

2/21/2025 10:25am That bike is rad. Teeny L-beam seatstays and pocketed (but larger) chainstays. Looks practical to machine and keeps the chainstay stiffer than the seatstay for more roll and less wag. Good pedal stiffness but also good compliance. It will always be heavier than a tube for the same stiffness but (turns out) it's hard to machine a tube so this is a great solution and will be stiff enough for its weight. and it's cooler than a tube. It's neat that they can machine all these parts and still make money per bike... that's a lot of machine time. Funny...

2/20/2025 3:14pm re: one-piece rear end, this is from their PR, so i listed it as a highlight. i don't doubt that it's comprised of 2 pieces bolted together, however.
