I think the reason is right there in your comment "on the EWS circuit". UCI/Warner have made the EWS not worth the support from sponsors anymore.

They had to pay Loris salary somehow.

Yeah a super strange move from srammers. Especially since Moir seems like he definitely was a Sram/Rockshox sponsored athlete and overall spokesperson, not just ran their stuff cuz he had to. I know the YT guys could run whatever they wanted, but it seemed to be more than him just liking the stuff. But I guess they have to draw the line somewhere. Seems like Valli is still on their stuff though right?

1. He never said they "pulled the rug out from under him". The did not re-sign him after the '24 season. That would be normal sponsor behavior. 2. Most deals that SRAM (like most brands) does are 2-3 year deals. They, like everyone, see the writing on the wall. That '25 is likely the last EWS season. It was on life support last year and now, with a bunch of big names/teams gone, it will lose even more eyeballs. Jack, Richie and Jesse are the only guys in the EWS commanding big paydays anymore so it was an easy decision...

Often times it’s easiest to cut ties with a few seasoned and well paid employees rather than let go a slew of lesser paid ones. SRAM is just fine. Trimming fat after the bike industry slowdown and political and therefor economic instability. But when so many companies rely on your product that gives you a lot more wiggle room to weather the storm. Including trimming marketing budgets. Rockshox will sell infinitely more oem forks than aftermarket. And I doubt jack moir or Sam hill’s suspension is on the minds of that many product managers.

How bad are things at SRAM that they pull support for the most prominent enduro racer out there? Even ignoring the race results, Jack has by far the best content and following. Seems crazy.

The real question is “why do bike companies spec such short dropper posts on their bikes?” Give the people all the drop that’s possible. Any bike that comes with less than 210mm drop needs to be upgraded. Obviously, if it’s a light weight XC bike, it may not be necessary. But once a bike hits the trail or all mountain category it should come with lots of dropper travel.

Joe Breedan is answering questions in the comments about this on the other site. It seems from what he's saying that there aren't any restrictions and the discounts will apply if you're in a listed country. Really good deal for anyone with a high end build going on, after paying the subscription for 6 months you could save around $900 on RRP just on suspension alone.

Who knows whether this will work, but I applaud the creativity of this and trying to do something to address some of the monetary issues rather than just complaining about them. Re all of the comments on the Rumor thread re buying a membership and immediately saving a huge amount via the discount: have you guys never had a credit card with a crappy rewards program or been part of something like expertvoice? Pretty sure EXT's entire catalog isn't going be there for taking. I'd have to think they're going to put a ton of conditions and restrictions on this...
