There was a post here that a Forbidden bike (non-motorized) was spotted with the vertical shock / HP layout that their ebikes have, getting rid of the tunnel. I could see that. I'm over shock tunnels personally, make setting rebound a PITA and limit dropper insertion.

So about a month ago I published my data logger design, latest version, which I'm calling the BODAQS A8. The hardware design and software are both open-source and can be used freely, including commercially, without restriction. I've also been selling PCBs and kits through the build website and have almost sold out the first batch, including to a couple of people on this forum. Dear Dougal, I know your favorite past time is to shit on the hard engineering work of people and then yell at them when they try to engage you in good faith arguments. My two cents on anti-rise... First and foremost, it depends on the trails you are riding. There isn't a universal value that's best on everything. Low angle trails, especially one's where you're trailing the brakes to maintain speed, favor low anti-rise. On the other hand, steep trails and/or trails where you're hard on the brakes favor higher anti-rise. Sure low anti-rise can make for more active suspension, but it's impossible for your suspension to be active at all when it's fully extended. Having the rear go to full extension also really messes up geo usually when you're in a scenario...

Hi my name is Abe and I’m a sweaty guy. My wife got me a subscription to the Vital gear box (bring it back once a quarter) one year for my birthday, and I have used the molecule helmet spray ever since. Keeps things fresher and not stinky. On sequential day rides I use it lightly, on very warm days maybe an extra spray.

I’ve been running them since they came out. Really enjoying them after starting to ride again from a partial tear in my bicep and battling tennis elbow off and on. They say not to run them with outside lock ons and I’m not sure why they don’t just make a set that would work over the lock on. but I’ve been running them with my Rev grips with no issues. Sure, I might not be getting the full benefit but I run my hands on the outside of the bar anyway and something is working with them. Definitely recommend for...

Downtime mentioned how widespread the breeden bar ends are becoming, with people like Bruni, Pierron and many many others using them. Owning a pair, having recovered from 2 broken hands (left then right) in 3 years, I've found they definitely live up to the hype and really helped with arm pump and security of my weak hands on the bars. The bar ends are a much more interesting innovation than I originally expected, because they significantly change the biomechanics of the upper-body while riding. Fallacy or not, if our domestic manufacturing capacity is contingent on wreaking havoc in the Middle East and the global south then I want nothing to do with it. Based on the tidbits shared above, it sounds like our domestic production capacity only exists because the ruling class can’t afford to outsource defense manufacturing without the risk of it being used against them (see Westmag drones) but they’re happy to sell us out for everything else. One thing missing here is the fact that with the proliferation of composite know how, there are more people around able to safely repair a wider range of issues. Rather than pretending we are recycling carbon bikes I’d love to see more frames designed in ways that facilitate repair. Repair is verifiable in a way that recycling is not, it is cost effective for everyone concerned, and it is as close as you’ll get to good for the environment. It probably flows on to other design decisions to ensure repair is viable (like bearing placement, etc etc), but designing bikes...

The V10 XL is 29" stock. Are you sure this isn't converting it to a 27.5"? The axle position suggests it's raising the rear end up to compensate for the smaller wheel.
