I for one, am fully in favor of the increased availability of silver components (and I guess I should take some pics of my bike and post them in Bike Checks)

I'm with you. I feel the power of ep801 is adequate, give me lighter and/or higher capacity batteries and longer lasting motors. Design them so I can work on them, hate that I'm tethered to a shop to service them, at least the simple stuff.

Alright, here is my two cents on Schwalbe's radial casing and the Albert. Sorry for word-barfing so hard in a forum. So we tested the Albert at the end of summer before it launched as part of a gravity tire shootout that's dropping next week. I know, a bit of a delay. But we didn't have any information about the tire during the test, and **spoiler** it ended up being our least favorite. Part of this was due to the lack of support and damping from the casing. Part of it was due to the tread design struggling to bite...

Having listened to the whole interview those two are clearly highly intelligent guys who have spent too much time in circles where everyone tells each other how smart they are before going off on a different tangent. Jerking off on each others’s big ideas for the world while having seemingly little empathy for the people those topics are effecting. At the end of the day it doesn’t take a genius to argue nuclear war should be avoided or that it’s in a countries interest to expand its power. Or to argue that the government is bloated, slow, and resistant to...

Transmission, it's weaknesses, and "solutions" for those weaknesses all seem kind of insane to me. Hey we have this little uvula looking thing on the back of frames which the derailleur attaches to. Usually, derailleurs aren't that expensive these days but just in case, it's meant to bend instead of allowing the derailleur to break. Because our frame is made of steel, we can usually just bend it back for free! How nice! Since we moved on to alloy/carbon, we had to make the hanger its own item. We went with aluminum alloy so it's stiff and light, but if...

So it took me way to long to stitch these together and export it properly, but I did this test with the tyre at 18psi and 26psi, the 18psi gave the best result. Using parts on hand like some springs around 11.8 N/mm, a 250g mass and a 600g(250+350) mass. (*edit using the 2 opposing springs halves the rate so more like 6 N/mm) The wheel alone is about 1800g so total system about 2.4kg Tyre rates are roughly 35N/mm @ 18psi and 44N/mm at 26psi BUT they are slightly progressive in the first few mm plus I trimmed the...
