11/3/2025 9:42pm We're def in the he said she said phase... That said, gun to my head if you ask me who to side with... I'll go with the marketing/brand manager who worked with Fox, Etnies, DC, and K2. Rather than the CEO-pilled guy who was... A bodybuilder? With experience in... Managing/marketing gyms? (Not exactly a product-based business, more so service. Unless he was sellin equipment i dunno shi) (As well as the man who has been CEO, head chump in charge, during this entire scenario where seemingly no employees, riders, or customers were warned of the impending doom... Rather baited in...

Between The Tape Liked a forum topic E-bikes make you f*tter? Training with an eMTB
10/30/2025 12:00pm The assertion that e-bikes decrease fitness is widespread. On the surface, the reasoning appears sound: riders often feel like they have expended more energy after a normal ride compared to an e-bike ride. Therefore, normal bikes must provide superior fitness benefits, right? Not quite. This surface-level analysis misses several crucial insights about how fitness actually works. Let's start with a simple fact: work done is work done, regardless of the bicycle beneath you. If you maintain the same effort level on an e-bike as you would on a traditional bike, you'll simply travel farther in the same time. In this...

10/23/2025 9:26am I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE

10/22/2025 9:03pm Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...

notanengineer Liked a reply to forum topic Anyone rode the Bronson v5 and the nomad v6?
10/22/2025 6:57am Haven't ridden the v5 but own a nomad v6 and this thought experiment is definitely one that I've thought about. The geo between the bronson and nomad is strikingly similar. Also worth noting that the bronson makes its travel with the use of a 230x57.5 shock, which leaves a lot of room for a larger stroke shock to increase travel, allegedly. Based off of wheelbase, I don't think the bronson will feel any more agile than the nomad. My vote would be to try the bronson and put a bigger fork and longer stroke shock on it if you feel...

9/8/2025 12:29pm I have. Agreed on their rubber being better, but the last is way too narrow for my flat feet. If Spec updates the width, I'd definitely try them again, but as it stands the 2FO shoes are pure agony for me.

Jason_Schroeder Liked a product review TESTED: Schwalbe Tacky Chan
4/30/2025 10:25pm
When Schwalbe released the Tacky Chan in June 2023, I wasn't super impressed. I racked up just enough rides to write it off for anything but firm, consistent conditions, and that was that. But after seeing plenty of fast riders ripping on TCs in deeper, steeper, sloppier conditions (and reading some mixed reviews in our tire forum), I began to question if I'd done my due diligence. I felt like I owed Mr. Chan a second chance and our audience further insight into when and where this tire rips and slips. So here's an attempt to foe into friend with...

I was the founder of K9 Industries Ltd in 2005 in the UK. I worked at CSG (now Pon) from 2015-2023 where I was responsible for the geometry, kinematics and packaging for all the full suspension bikes both analogue and e-bikes for both Cannondale and GT bikes and also several GT hardtails. I introduced the concept of size specific geometry and kinematics for Cannondale dubbed “Proportional Response”. I am now back to the UK, where I am a senior...
