Exactly, funny thing is most people seem to think that progressive kinematics means hitting wall of progression towards last third of the travel while not building any support at the start of it or in the middle. That is progressive kinematics done wrong (like 1st gen Capra or cube dh bike).

The Telemetry unit and its internal Inertial Measurement Unit is mounted directly to the centre of the handlebars....so the accelerations measured by the IMU are what is felt directly by the rider through the bars....So the Max total acceleration gives a clear indication of what the rider will feel through the bars with the suspension in the open mode at 9.6G and in the closed mode at 10.3G.....yes I felt this difference myself....its very noticeable. What this says is that the secondary suspension does have a distinct effect on improving suspension compliance....if the bike/rider is experiencing less accelerations then it...

That is the current live shock. See where the wire plugs in where the yellow arrow is. Next version that is in RAD phase looks considerably different

i'm seeing an add banner for fox live valve on this site and the shock doesn' t look similar since the live valve i know uses cables... did someone jump the gun?

Yeah this was super bizarre, although not that surprising given the platform. The review was pretty accurate but terrible timing when the new version has already been launched and addresses every one of those shortcomings! The problem is people are going to skim the article and think it’s referring to the new one, so it’s straight up terrible journalism. I don’t strictly mind reviews calling out a bad product, but if it’s not even remotely current then it’s either lazy content creation or they have an agenda

MTB forums/comments: Reviewers are industry schills, they never write anything bad about any products. Everyone knows that sucks/is unrideable/will fail and won't get warranty support. Also MTB forums/comments: This reviewer wrote something critical about a product I happen to like, they must be biased against that company. Total hatchet job man!

IIRC he ponied up the dollar for the DVO himself. The Disto didn't give a shit that the product was unridable and you had Mr Head on a Stick DVO NZ chiming in saying "pretty please send it me and I will build it right for you". All Paul wants is product off the production line that is the same as what the end user gets.

Does anyone remember Paul Astons experience with DVO? Jesus that fork was worse than an entry level Suntour, who make and assemble everything for DVO. DVO blamed all the issues on Covid and them not been able to get to Taiwan to over see assembly. Well what was happening in the years before Covid when the product was still hit or miss? Hell the damper seal head has been crap and sticky since the Diamond. Oh BTW what you need is a 38mm fork.....

It sounds like he didn’t have a great experience with the fork, and had a job to do. Which is to write about his experience.

Now then, that’s a very good idea! Genuinely looking forward to seeing those comparisons. It won’t be perfect, but will definitely offer valuable cross reference to your expectations that, without a dynamic static test rig for both together (or a dynamic CAD system to visualise theory) currently requires your intuition (which is excellent in my view btw 😊).

What I will do at some stage when i get time is put the original 180mm forks back on the bike and test that with the telemetry doing the Curb impact test....that will be a direct comparison between the stock bike and the modified bike....that should be interesting.

Let's be honest, DVO stuff is just hot garbage, if they no longer existed tomorrow no one would miss them. For the last 3 years they were saying no one needed a 38mm stanchioned fork, now apparently everyone needs one.

This has to do with "Old" tech. Anyone have any ideas as to why PinkBike took and deliberately shit all over DVO's out of production fork in a "new article today? And Kazimer defending the decision to publish is utterly ridiculous. Companies might want to re-thing where they put ad revenue. An honest review is one thing. Taking a bat to a company a year later?

Get enough sleep and you’ll be fine 😊 I mentioned in case somebody with access to the necessary dynamic software spots the topic and, just maybe, offers you a bit of time with your specs 🤞 Good luck with this project. You really deserve it. And the Enduro set up looks like it’s special too.
