This just may be the review I've been waiting for. Bought a Mondraker Crafty e-bike with a ZEB Base Rush RC, and thinking of upgrading the damper with either a Charger 3.1 or this Lift V2 you reviewed. Mainly looking for a more composed ride and maintaining a certain dynamic ride height, especially on the steeps. And from this review I understand that it does just that. I had for the last 5 seasons a 180mm Lyrik Ultimate with Charger 2.1, ran it tokenless with a lot of air pressure, and settled on a pretty decent setup to avoid dives...

Whoever was doing drop bar product management and copy writing at Haro ripped off a bunch of copy and graphic design work I developed for a client. Not too mad too see this interation fail. Going back to earlier parts of this thread- Haro is a bit of an odd duck. I might blame Bjarke for ripping off my clients, but ultimately Haro is owned by a Taiwanese family(generally referred to as Kenstone) that is heavily involved with aluminum tube production on the island and mainland. This is the way! The Bartlett is THE solution, but for some reason it gets no attention. I've had mine since 2023 and it's been amazing. Everything from singletrack in the PNW to Windrock this summer. I've put a ton of time riding all sorts of trails on a dual crown equipped enduro/freeride bike (Spindrift) and never once thought to myself that I wish I had a single crown.

I'm on board. I've been running a dual crown on my Canfield for a couple of years now, I have the newer boxxer now. Two of my friends have them on their E-bikes. I also had the MRP Bartlett when they came out. I thought it was a great idea and would really take off but it never caught on. I wonder if Fox or RockShox came out with something like that how it would go over. Great videos.

I mean, ebike drivetrains aren't that different then actual drivetrains. Granted, It adds 2 fully expendable ~800-1k wear items to the whole vehicle. However from my experience, it is reasonable to expect your emtb drive system to last a minimum of 3x your mechanical drivetrains and a max of 5ish. That should pan out to 3-5k miles as a base assumption. If you start to think of it like you do chains/cassettes/chainring replacement costs per mile, the risk and expense doesn't seem outlandish. I’ve tried both styles, I think there is a time in place for both types of set ups. Using data acquisition tools. It’s really easy to get this bike set up one way or another. For me, less spring and more damper feels better on Terrain that is firmer(hardpack) and maybe less grip. Also less pitch, so like a moderate grade type trails. It is not Delrin, and is in fact something very fancy. The red material we use is fundamentally a bronze-filled PTFE product that is designed to act as a bearing, supporting very high loads while having an extremely low coefficient of friction. We machine the material in-house very carefully, as the material alone costs us $278 per foot! 😒
