Friend here. This was for my son. We've spent more time bracketing. Swapped the rear shock to Vivid etc. I got a 3.1 upgrade kit. The LBS that I'm affiliated with is passing around a fox podium for the core riders to try, we were previously passing around a v1 nine.one. I digress, I just picked up the demo podium to try out for 2 weeks... There was a delay in my ability to try it because it was leaking and needed to be dealt with. We'll see if it leaks in my 2 week stint with it... I'm planning on getting 6ish rides on it. After that, I'm going to try a v2 nine.one...

Sounds like trouble for Eurobike going forward: https://ebike-mtb.com/en/the-end-of-eurobike-who-will-lead-the-bike-ind… Two big German bicycle associations are pulling out although it's not entirely clear to me right now whether or not that means the show will be cancelled as a result. Can't say it's that surprising, though. The traditional trade show model has been dying an agonizingly slow death. The Taipei Show gets a little quieter every year and Taichung Bike Week was practically a ghost town this year. I know the Sea Otter Classic is difficult to replicate, but it's a format that I see value in. Brands get to show off...

10/29/2025 10:14am You'd actually be surprised. As an avid pickler myself, I can tell you that warranty policy is a big factor when purchasing paddles. And like we've seen with carbon wheels, the expectation with premium paddles is a no-questions asked replacement – and paddles frequently have de-lamination issues between the face sheet and core. So, I'd expect a pretty high warranty...

I asked the engineer on this, because it goes beyond my knowledge: - Coil back check shim at the midvalve. - IFP is exhausted to the very large lower volume so only coil essentially provides compensation chamber force. Yeah nice. The whole time we were out there we kept saying "Man, I'm so glad I did the tour instead of the race." It was so nice being able to stop and let the hands rest on descents, instead of just plowing through endlessly. We got really lucky on weather and we only had gross eternally-wet clothes and shoes from sweat, but not from rain. If it had rained the whole time it would have been so much tougher. That would be really cool. I understand that that’s such a small number of forks but what’s the difference between 190 mm and a 200 mm travel boxxer besides 10 mm?

Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...
