Thanks for including your heart rate stats! That pretty much tells you what I needed to know that the assist is minimal and probably negligible if you are a fit rider. I am 100 percent with you on "likes to pedal, doesn't love how full-size e-bikes handle, and is down with some bigger travel". Someone who hates to pedal obviously would never buy this and someone fit enough to pedal an enduro bike on big days probably doesn't need this. At a more affordable option I can see this being more intriguing for riders who like to pedal big bikes.

I haven't taken the Lift apart yet, so I can't say whether the mid-valve serves as a check valve or whether it's actually designed to provide damping in the mid-velocity range. @NoahColorado might be able to weigh in on that. For anyone else who's curious what the heck a mid-valve is, there's a good discussion of mid-valves in MTB forks on this page of the "Suspension Component Tech Functionality" thread. Just Ctrl-F "Mid-valve" on the page and read Darren from Push's explanations: https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/hub/suspension-component-technologyfunc…

Steep trails, ebikes, and the Lift are a trio I'm missing very badly at the moment. I had a couple unreal days in Santa Cruz this spring before Sea Otter, like top-10 days of my life good. You're squarely in the yellow tune range, so I'd definitely go with that. At your weight, you'd also probably really enjoy a Noken in your Zeb to make it little more coil-like. That (and a little more pressure) will really help your dynamic ride height.

A few questions for @TEAMROBOT : after you lowered your air pressure to account for the increased damping, did you go back to the stock damper and try running more damping (even fully closed)? Did MRP give you a nice graph that compared Charger 3.1 to Lift 2 (what you were running, not Grip X2)? Did you ever find yourself missing the lack of independent HSC adjustment?

This just may be the review I've been waiting for. Bought a Mondraker Crafty e-bike with a ZEB Base Rush RC, and thinking of upgrading the damper with either a Charger 3.1 or this Lift V2 you reviewed. Mainly looking for a more composed ride and maintaining a certain dynamic ride height, especially on the steeps. And from this review I understand that it does just that. I had for the last 5 seasons a 180mm Lyrik Ultimate with Charger 2.1, ran it tokenless with a lot of air pressure, and settled on a pretty decent setup to avoid dives...

#nonTech - i'll only spam this thread once, but Vital Downhill Fantasy kicks off this week and since some of you brake-pad-ticklers never leave this forum topic, figured i'd post it here, so you have a chance to win prizes to take apart and critique in here : ) https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy (psssst...i love that you're all brake-pad-ticklers! it's made me want to tickle my own pads).

Nigel Page just put a goodbye and thanks post on Instagram. I find this super sad, as he is one class act as a human being. I read this as in ”hopes were still on until the last moment”. I can't wish him and the team anything else but the best. I want to add one more thing here: I met Pagey 22 years ago at the Worlds. He was injured and watched the races from the side and somehow I ended up talking to him. Being the kid in love with racing that I was and still am, I...

Intro Look here Trek Slash, it's not me, it's you. I just don't have a place in my life for a 160/170mm-travel 29er. Who does? A 469mm reach on an M/L size? That's a bit much for my 5'9" frame, and how is that really a size? Wait, you're saying there's more to you than reach and travel numbers? Ok, I'll listen. After all, a mind is like a parachute. Steeper seat angle, slacker head angle, integrated tools, and storage, I like all these features. Do go on... Strengths From rough to buff, it masters all trails Comfortable pedaling position...
