Ok first of all, dope, but second don't leave us hanging. More info needed on the coil shock setup. Cascade link? How's clearance? Other shocks you've tried?

I have a size large Hightower 2 (C), with a cascade link, but too scared it would rub to actually drop the cash on a coil. The CC tunnel is supposed to have more clearance I have heard.

I didn't realize there was enough clearance for a coil on the Hightower, how tight is the clearance?

There's plenty of clearance on most SC frames. You can even fit a coil on the Tallboy.

Not sure why someone downvoted me for speaking the truth. You can fit a coil on most of the low link Santa Cruz bikes.

Well! It fits but its damn tight! in hindsight we would have got the painter to not paint the shock tunnel and then it would have been perfect!

We did fit a custom spherical bearing to reduce the spring deflection a little and that works but otherwise its just fine. I think if you went above 500lb soring the coil diameter might start causing issues.

But it rides amazing! Spot on ramp figures for a coil and very composed and balanced. Videos coming soon of some schralps!

Nice. Yes that's about what I expected to hear (paint rub, very tight clearances). Luckily I'm pretty happy with the super deluxe. Anyways nicely done!
