I tend to fine myself on the other end flip chip theory. I tend to be more anti flip chip as it always tends to make thing more complicated and doesn't really add to the ride feel of the bike. There's also something to be said with a bike manufacture creating a bike with one specific geo and running it like that. The current Range VLT is great. 50 lbs, 170/160, good kinematics for solid pop and jive yet still with a high pivot (mid pivot) that lets you plow. I like that for the 50lb mark. The prior gen range VLT at 60 lbs was a good mauler at 180/170 but not much fun to throw around. I’d love to keep full power 170/160 but shave it down to 45 lbs.

For me, it's not so much the power, but the packaging. I was not using ALL of my Bosch power or even my EP8 juice when I had them. However, given that the newer Avinox bikes are providing full power in a size/weight configuration getting closer to a DH/enduro bike... Why not? To me, the Ebike is more of a commodity than a Trail/Enduro/DH. Kinda sad but true. The other issue is service and resale. Due to the fact that this market is commoditized, at least in my head, I want to future-proof as best as possible. As long as...

Please don’t change the fantasy system, if you do it’ll be the same as pinkbikes and theirs is boring as hell since starting to play the vital one, you pick your team and they have a crash in qualies.. great, fantasy team wrecked for the whole weekend. The Vital system encourages you to come back over the race weekend and make tweaks based on what you see .. it rains for finals day? Shit better change the team, rider B had fast splits in qualies but a minor mistake? That’s a sleeper, I’ll add him etc..

Categorizing full power ebike riders as "low effort" doesn't reflect reality. The best dh riders in my area ("retired" moto racers) go hard on the ups and downs. They absolutely charge, and want a 45-50 pound bike anyways for the dh. They also kill it on the climbs

yep, I rewatched it and realized you can see a Bosch wheel magnet twice. So I guess the question now is, did they use the CX or SX motor? My guess is CX since most people want full power.
