2/18/2024 4:06pm Wow, did NOT see that coming! Guess the only mysteries left are what frame Danny is riding in NZ and where Minnaar will end up.

2/18/2024 4:05pm holy hell did anyone see this coming? With all the speculation floating around, I don’t think crestline has been mentioned even once. great way to put them on the radar for people who haven’t heard of them before that’s for sure

2/12/2024 2:38am Outspoken as always, Loic Bruni has made his position clear on how he thinks this new discipline compares to good old biking on dirt:

2/10/2024 3:49pm There's no NDAs here and its a rumor forum. Companies like Apple, NVIDIA, and Tesla have leaks for products that have millions invested into them and they stay posted online.....but a bicycle gets pulled down. Strange times...

2/9/2024 12:34pm It sounds like you're a great candidate for a mullet. I've ridden full 29 and mullet and I really don't believe there's a significant difference in speed, traction, or bump absorption between the two. They both work great. As a tall person with a ton of racing and product testing experience, I really couldn't care less if my bike is mullet or 29er, as long as I have a spare rear wheel and tires available. BUT if you're short enough that a 29" rear wheel could get in the way of your body's range of motion on the bike, I'd...

2/9/2024 12:29pm Wayyyy back in 2013 my Specialized Enduro 29er had: 430mm chainstays Ample tire clearance 29 inch rear wheel front-derailleur support 142 (technically 142+) rear hub There is no performance justification for 148 or 157 to exist. Now that 148 is the defacto standard for everything from XC to DH, I will never own a bike that is 157 since it makes it that much harder to find the appropriate hub. I don't see 157 growing in marketshare.

2/3/2024 1:57pm Regarding suspension, except Leitner, you also have to think about Jim Busby of GT, as the RTS was probably the first mass produced full suspension bike that actually worked. Then came the LTS, which was popular for good reason, and the i-Drive, that was maybe the first effort to properly isolate suspension movement from the transmission, as early as 1999. GT have videos regarding this on their YouTube channel. Robert Reisinger of Mountain Cycle made the San Andreas, which was way ahead of its time, and of course you have Jeff Steber of Intense, who created the M1. Mert Lawwill's...

2/2/2024 3:05pm One of my ridding buddies has one of these, after the V1 he had was replaced under warranty for bushing play. Honestly, for how much it costs, it's one of the most underwhelming experiences I had (got to ride his bike a few times). Between this, a ZEB Select+ and a DVO Onyx SC, I would put its performance on par with the DVO (which costs much less) and bellow the ZEB. The EXT, soon after being replaced under warrantly, started to develop bushing play again, to the point that the sanctions wouldn't even slide on the lowers. To make...
