mtbman99 Added a reply to Shimano Drops New 2.2mm Thick Rotors in 200/220mm Sizes - Thoughts?
7/2/2026 2:56pm Maybe I am just ok with mediocre braking but I have never had an issue with the stamped rotors. I have been on my current set for 2 years now and will probably need to replace the rear as it’s starting to get a bit on the thin side. No issues with power or warping but the 180mm with a...

6/30/2026 11:46am The big change I think is just access to bikes at a fraction of the cost especially road and gravel from sites like aliexpress. You can order a carbon frame, fork and seatpost for $400 or alloy for $50 USD. At that price you are not overly concerned with warranty as long as the frame shows up and is of...

6/15/2026 2:45pm This is my experience as well the only other negative I have experienced on multiple occasions is in deep trenched chutes it like to grab the edges a bit more than other tires and throw your balance off. I have been running the high roller 3 for a couple of months and it works better in the loose over hard...

6/11/2026 2:16pm I think the idea of changes sells bike but the follow through of anyone actually doing this is relatively small. I will caveat that with mixed wheel size adjustments seem to have been popular but I think most will just run the bike they have in the future.

6/8/2026 10:21am Trailforks might be another viable option. They also have a lot of riding associations linked in with them.

5/12/2026 3:44pm When buying gloves buy something that feels a bit too tight when you try them on in the shop as they stretch out to fit your hand and not bunch up.
mtbman99 Added a reply to Should a New World Cup DH Track Be Bedded In or Left Raw for First Practice?
4/30/2026 3:41pm I like the raw tracks and it will bed in I’m sure but some of those loose square rocks should be raked out for rider/spectator safety. The big dirt step down/ jump seems like it needs to be reworked almost every person was casing it.

3/19/2026 8:53am Damn I have been riding Knolly bikes for my last 4 bikes. I did get 2 frames replaced under warranty but those were the older models. I think they missed the mark with the sizing on their latest bikes though. I will keep my current bike for awhile but I assume small parts like pivot bolts etc will become an...

12/5/2025 2:59pm First time I had redbull it was the original non carbonated syrup in a glass bottle. It actually didn’t taste that bad to teenage me. I don’t know where the 7-11 got them from but they didn’t have them long.

12/4/2025 8:45am Privateer bikes have very limited selection on their website. They usually have a new batch delivery date on their sold out bikes but nothing right now. Hopefully launching a new gen in the new year and not a financial issue.

10/10/2025 12:03pm From what I have heard they do a fair amount of business on the zip line. Helps keep the operation running not saying they are super busy all the time

10/10/2025 8:55am Local hill on Vancouver Island seems to do decent summer business but have invested to add alternatives to just mountain biking to draw in more tourist dollars with a zip line and scenic chair rides. They also have the entrance to strathcona park for foot powered exploration pretty close by that drives some good business to the food services.

10/3/2025 8:47pm I’m not sure but I would think you are in the minority with checking Strava to see what others are up to. I mostly use it to keep track of my stats or to keep track of personal progression/regression (I’m 45 if I can keep up with old me I am doing ok) . Others can correct me if I’m...

10/3/2025 11:05am I watched a dc rainmaker video about this and he mentioned that Strava is planning on going public and this may have been a bit of a misguided attempt to shore up their ip. I’m for keeping this thread open and just changing the name if possible.
