mtbman99 Added a comment about feature TESTED - 2023 Orbea Rise Long Term Review

If it has headset cable routing I’m out it doesn’t matter the bike. The reviewer even commented on the difficulty in changing out the fork. I drop my fork several times a year so no need to struggle with putting it back on.

That sucks for GG on the big down tube discussion it could also be easier to manufacture and if you can utilize a similar mold for you e-bike it probably takes less design resources between frames.
This just won’t work. How is a rider supposed to quantify how much to let up. You have a 10sec lead and then slow up and maybe you win bye 3 seconds and maybe you lose by 1 now. it’s not like f1 or Motocross where you can easily respond to a challenge 1 because you can see the competition...

I would say most mountains in North America are either too big and don’t need the advertising revenue from a WC event or they are too small and can’t afford the buy in costs for an event. It would be great to see a true World Cup with at least 3 dates in North America and Europe each and 1...
Protected rider status needs to go. Either your in or your not based on your semis performance. The only other thing to mix it up would be to retape the course between semis and finals so you get a slightly different track. That would be tricky to implement and be safe for the risers though but I think it could...

mtbman99 Added a reply to Is it worth it? Fox 36 to a 38?

I haven’t ridden the current Gen 36 but I swapped from the previous gen lyrik to the 38 it was eye opening. I’m 240lbs ride on the faster more aggressive side and noticed the change on the first ride. Less deflection on hard landings and I really like how you can tune the air spring to get it to ride...

Biggest standouts over the last few years for me on my current build -Code brakes I bleed them once a year and toss in fresh pads as needed. 4 years old swapped from my previous build. -super deluxe ultimate has been hands down the most reliable shock I have owned. Aircan service and annual rebuild and no addition parts needed...

I must be lucky I have warped one tire in 30 years of riding/racing. It was an almost new minion ss of all tires.

Not that Mr Warner hasn’t speculated about where certain riders are going on broadcasts before…

Its likely Emmy Lan, U21 EWS champ. She is from Cumberland (Forbidden home base) and rode Sram/RS last year.

You know, a silly season round-up podcast would be fun. Maybe even interview some of the movers after everything has settled out

So frustrating to see not even a single EDR date in North America. I know they need to have sites that want to host but come on there has to be some effort on UCI’s part to try and push this.

If the rule exists but is never enforced what’s the big deal for you. As long as they are not cherry-picking certain teams it applies to then I think most people are not worried about it.

I though they ran that for more than one season I could be wrong. but if you look through the rule book I’m 99% sure that rule is not in there for mountain bikes. Again it has been discussed here before and the conclusion is it only applies to road.

I don’t think that rule applies to DH racing and has been discussed before. I could dig through the uci rules but there are so many examples of DH bikes that where protos and never went anywhere.
