Hardline seems less dangerous on the whole than rampage. I mean they're both super gnarly, the features themselves are comparable. But the most dangerous thing for both is guinea pigging new jumps. Hardline has fewer new features than a typical rampage. Once the proper speed for a jump/drop is established then the rest of the hardline field can be towed in. In rampage it's rare for a given line to be shared by more than two. One thing I liked seeing was that airbag on the on/off feature in practice. And a lot of crash pads on rocks etc. Seems...

The guys/ladies "racing" hardline are mostly WC DH guys that choose to rider here and are paid to race WC and do this as a side thing. 6/30/2022 11:49am Yeah I rode one as a loaner from the shop and did not like the way it rode. That being said I haven't liked any of the Scott bikes that I have ridden. I don't know if its the shock tune or what but they just never feel quite right to me.

6/2/2022 10:41am Yes but most ports enter behind the head tube and they are on a different plane. Water will be able to enter through the top which is much more prone to water entry than the sides. That's why most headsets have a seal there.

6/2/2022 9:08am For everyone saying it won't effect the lower bearing you are now introducing an opening in the headset and allowing "more" water to make its way to the lower bearing and sit on top of it. "More" because headsets are not perfectly sealed but I would bet there is only very very small amount of water making it's way through...

4/13/2022 9:37am RS gets my vote for ease of home service/videos/step by steps and they have been completely reliable. Fox depending on the shock can require more specialized tools but no issue reliability for me.

4/8/2022 11:10am Re the big down downtubes I was wondering how long until we see ebike with a removable motor and a bolt in crank area. With a modular design you can sell one bike with an ebike kit. Especially with the low power applications.

3/4/2022 3:36pm When I switched to Stans EX3 I noticed an increase in tire pinch flats because the bead profile is a little sharper and the aluminum a bit stiffer. Need to run DD or equivalent and even a bit more pressure to keep the pinch flats away.
