Transition always has a handful of frame details that seem to be finished with an "eh, good enough" type of mentality. That for sure hasn't been my experience with rocky mountains. I was speaking with some guys in the sram tent at a crankworx event shortly after transmission was released and they said that it was a request from frame manufacturers to go to 55mm chain line in order to accomodate a wider variety of suspension linkages and rear triangle layouts.

A standardized (blasphemy!) oval'ish headset standard would be awesome that give +-10mm reach/lots of angle adjust

To keep the ground to headset distance the same, to keep the geometry of the bike the same. A 29 fork is taller, but so is the axle compared to the ground. Putting a 27" wheel in a 29er fork will still drop the front end.

Im under the assumption that you do work for PUSH, and if so I want to say I appreciate you contributing to the forum. It is really cool to see the insights of companies through those that actually built or worked on developing the products. A lot more comforting too. In all honesty, Im broke and I just downgraded to a Chromag hardtail (Actually an upgrade in some aspects), but your comment alone really makes me reevaluate PUSH as a company in a good way. Push are kinda boneheads. My friend got into it with them at the Sea Otter because they didn’t do a dynamic bushing in their inverted fork. They claimed it makes no difference and yet it binds up pretty badly when you lightly load it in torsion. (It’s a noodle torsionally too because it’s inverted)

As a short crank guy who likes affordable shimano cranks i hope the new saint has some shorter options.
