Any chance it’s an alloy phoenix, maybe they’re going the route of convertible DH/park/enduro?

Come to think of it, the brake mount is in completely the wrong location. So is the bike, you'd think Pivot would be testing at home rather than the North Shore. Perhaps the rabbit hole goes deeper?

Not tech rumors, but soil tech history! The difference between Oregon, WA and BC is all about ice. Kilometer+ thick ice sheets created glacial terrain features and exposed more bedrock from Washington State north. Oregon didn't get the sweet, sweet ice sheet remodeling. The maximum extent of the Puget Lobe of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet was Tenino, which is between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. In the Seattle area you have a lot of glacial till soils that the ice pushed around. Further north the ice scraped away soils and smoothed the bedrock, making terrain for amazing tech riding. This...

I'd just run the @CascadeComponents chainguard for forbidden bikes on it. I have one on my Dread v2 and use it instead of a lower roller. It's awesome (also allows me to take out a couple links in the chain) For the people at Forbidden who read this blog. I love you guys. Your bikes are awesome and I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!

The standard link and yoke are. Haven't gotten a chance to test fit the high pivot kit on an aluminum frame yet though. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. If anyone in the greater Seattle area has an aluminum frame and wants to find out, swing by and we can throw it on.

Yeah, I think he was traveling in the States and might have borrowed a bike for a quick ride before he heads south for his lymphoma clinical trial. I think the only reason it would have been taken down is because he wasn't riding a Forbidden, rather than riding a top-secret Forbidden.
