Just going to leave this here...Rocky Mountain Bicycles is using the FSA system on the carbon Altitude and Instincts, and our own designed (FSA made) ZS56|66 round headsets for the alloy models. 10mm of reach adjust possible. The headset guts are just standard components: bearings, races, top caps, etc.

You cannot adjust the lower bearing position fore-aft in a tapered 1.5, ZS56 cup. There is 0 room for that. You can adjust the reach by a total of 10mm in a ZS66 cup.

I don't know if you can get them aftermarket, but Rocky Mountain sold the 2019 (?) Pipeline/Instinct with a ~10mm crown spacer so you could switch front wheels and get the same geo. It sat under the crown race I think. I feel like it would be relatively easy to make one, but I am no engineer.

That 10-45 12speed XTR cassette is definetly not vapourware. Ran one for 2-3 season and currently running a SLX 10-45 12sp cassette (there is also a XT 10-45 version) with the same XTR GS 12 speed derailleur. They are also the cassette used currently for the 12 speed GRX gravel group so plenty of stock available. But there is no SLX GS derailleur, only XT or XTR version. My next build will be XT GS derailleur and 10-45 SLX cassette with XTR chain. The vapourware stuff was the 10-45 11 speed hyperglide+ cassette that was mentionned during XTR launch but...

The more, the merrier! Why limit yourself with a 10t when you can go 9t?!?! This way people can go even lower on the chainring and still have a good-enough gear ratio for high speeds, together with a GS-derailluer for better clearance (as those SGS fuckers are too damn long!!!). Smile

It's a 210x55 reduced to 45. It's what I had on hand at the time. I would spe a 165x45 Float SL normally though. Keep the weight down.

Where the hell were you when this exact issue with this exact company came up like 7 or 8 years ago? Oh right, I remember, at the local o-ring store.

Vault hubs from Race Face can go between 20, 15 and 12 in front. The same hub design is used for RF mountain wheels and Easton road wheels.

I posted this over in the 2025 thread, but since y'all were speculating I thought you'd like to see: Somebody I know knows the management at Whiteface, so I got some info on the Lake Placid race course. Top of Lower McKenzie, though the glades, jumps off mid station, into Stag Brook, across Fox, then finishes at the bottom of the gondola.

This is basically why V&R Racing exists. To help cover the travel costs for junior (women) WC racers. (We kept Taylor Ostgaard on for an extra year in Elite cuz she's just so frickin awesome.) We'd love to expand and help more racers, but for now, we'll stay focused and try to fill the need. We'd love to see more sponsors like us helping fill this gap. We'll throw a little teaser out since this is the rumors thread - our next sponsored rider races for Gravity Collective.

Vojo magazine posted a few new things here and there, regarding last Roc d'Azur: Including a few Polygon """protos""" : And more interesting, the Beringer ebike (we already knew about their mtb brakes, wasn't aware of the frame development) which is made from cast aluminium. As an absolutely-not-engineer guy I like seeing these kind of attempts on frame material, but some may have another perspective I guess... (regardless of kinematics / geo)
