Do aero fairings on downhill bikes really make sense? Considering that on road bikes, 80-85% of aero drag comes from the rider. On the bike, a large part of the aero drag are the wheels, where we have large and knobby tires, so how effective deep rim aero wheels would be needs to be tested. Considering the issues with cross-wind stability on these deep wheels, it could be outright dangerous to go over larger jumps at any kind of side winds with them. I don’t know if you guys have ever owned a banshee but they’re pretty poor quality frames unfortunately. I had some of my closest friends ride them and they kept breaking chain stays, hardware kept coming loose and snapping pivots. Warranty was good, but it happened so many times that they had gotten rid of them for something else. seems to be from today, but they did feel a little bit too high a little bit to steep head to angle wise. But who knows with aluminum bikes as they are usually pretty far off of what their numbers suggest

X01 cassette, X01 chain, GX cranks with NX steel chainring is GOAT for durability setup. Deraileurs not so much. Regardless of tier I purchase my derailleur is MAYBE lasting me a season. If I have the same deraileur for an entire season it is going to be clapped out by the end. Not that they are bad products but deraileurs have a hard life. After 3-4 times going to a bike park with an eagle setup the shifting will be giving me issues which is 100% why I own a DH bike now.
