Packaging isn't a trivial problem to solve, the ultra slim pf700 battery gets the high energy density by using 4680 cells (46x80mm) to get the 36v they need in the pack you need to have all cells in series. This means to hit the density with the less capacity and weight you need to drop system voltage and therefore develop...

Alright everybody, not trying to be some self righteous guy but I figured this advice could help. Here’s my lessons, after getting it pretty much dialed after thinking I completely fucked the dog. -make sure you follow the video step for step (as other smart people mentioned above) I basically skimmed it and thought it would be fine, it was not. Follow the video exactly. -definitely check the chain length on the app. I’m running 2 links short, and it was just dumb luck, u coulda cut it shorter on accident I just got lucky. I’m too used to winging...

Interesting details, they offer XD and XD slim, HG and HG slim both in 148 and 157 widths. I presume this means at least one new hub shell with wider hub flanges for 157, maybe 148 is just using a standard 157 hub shell with a short driver body? Either way it's a cool move for DH bikes and I...

The Phoenix has over 20mm of rear axle displacement, so the shortish chainstays make sense when they’re 13-17mm longer at sag. If they’re lengthening the chainstays, I wonder if they are also reducing the rearward movement. We’ve seen other brands reduce it such as Commencal Supreme V4 vs V5.

Latest post on neko's instagram shows one picture of the dh bike on the stand and it looks like the main pivot is way higher up the seattube to get high-er virtual pivot .

Agreeing that tape won't do anything but create a mess at these loads. The OChain elastomers feel like hard plastic in hand.

With the forces involved something much stiffer like a piece of HDPE/Delrin/Nylon might do a better job and still give the "soft" pickup you're looking for. I suspect lifespan to still be quite limited however.

There is probably single digit mm2 of contact area, the pressure acting on that surface is going to be huge! I don't think the you'd be able to feel a soft tape like that and it's likely to just disintegrate in the hub and cause issues.

Have you completely given up trying to genuinely contribute in these forums? I haven’t seen a post in weeks that has a positive connotation or actually adds to the conversation. Please don’t turn this place into a pinkbike comment section.

I’m traveling to Switzerland (flying into Zurich) to do some riding (solo for now) for my 50th. My list of possible riding spots includes; Davos Lenzerhiede (for the bike park) Zermatt (possibly) I’m looking for a combination of tech trails, preferably long ones that I can link with lifts/cable cars/etc. Also prefer advanced trails. Riding a Yeti SB 165. I enjoy climbing, as well. I’m looking for suggestions on spots to hit (within my list above, or recommendations for better spots), and specific trails/routes. I don’t want to travel too far between spots (Zermatt feels kinda far already), so spots...

Heard on a podcast Jesse Melamed talk about helping out a local company, I'm pretty sure he rides on RMU skis. He talked about how it ended up on the vital forum so more fuel to the fire. Now here's hoping Dave W let's them have some longer chainstays.

Heard that RMU, a ski company with shops in Truckee, whis, and breck, are launching an aluminum, DW designed all mountain bike (170 fork) that apparently pedals quite well. There’s likely to be a 140 version to follow, and potentially ebikes to follow that. Made in Taiwan. Should drop in March, curious if they’ll be at sea otter with it. Could it be this thing?
