simple solution for that -> just don‘t watch his content! and now please back to team rumors before this starts to be a BK-bashing thread again.

Facts from the Rumor forum: Nukeproof wants to stay true to its UK roots. Doesn't want to spend the money on a big team with flashy truck. New rider has luscious locks. There are two small (no truck or blue US school bus) UK based teams with Rider/Owners, but only one has long hair. Could we see a Nukeproof camper van pit set up?

I think Vali Höll should star on Team RockShox United by RedBull Leogang Alliance. Different frame every week, the same as whomever’s in 2nd place. Continue roasting. That’d be sick. She could do it.

I have been considering open sourcing my design for several years now. Likely the approach I would take is to provide a carrier board (not dissimilar to an Arduino shield) that handles all the power management, bluetooth, and GPS connections and allow people to manage their own wiring harness, battery selection, 3D printed cases etc. The firmware is all C++/Arduino so its pretty easy to get into. Having a single carrier board eliminates a lot of the headache around integrating all the different devices in different ways and allow everyone to work from a common connector standard (and base firmware...

Vital folks will literally screenshot pinkbike comments and still call it “the other site”

Did the maths on all the current crop of e bike batteries. They're all within ~10% energy density wise. Everyone is using the same format of cells so I suspect the DJI battery is just longer and thinner. That gives it's own challenges from a weight on bike point of view.

The lines don't easily relate to the physical reasoning behind anti-squat but they are fully consistent (can be derived from the force balance with a bit of trigonometry), and a really useful design tool. It's much easier to visualise the effect of moving pivot points on the graphical interpretation. Remember that all the graphical line diagrams become invalid when there's a moving idler, and if the idler has a different IC to the wheel then the ratio of moment's about the wheel IC is also not correct. Then, it's best to revert to basics; solve the linkage for forces at...

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. The diagrams with all the lines over the front wheel you see in other articles don't really articulate what is happening!

Brining this back from a while ago.... Is anti squat then the ratio of moments about the instantaneous center of the rear swing arm? I.e.sum of the moment from the wheel and chain tension divided by moment caused by accelerating the center of mass?

Whilst the pivot might have a few more broken frames than others, there's no way that impact would cause that on an in tact frame. Either it was previously damaged or defective. No way it would a survive a sin le run at a world cup or hardline if it was that weak!

All ball bearings have an amount of slip. You can't rotate a sphere in a u shaped track without slip unless you have an infinitely small contact. I.e. have an infinitely stiff material. By making the balls and races really hard you minimise the contact patch and slip. The sliding friction is minimised by including a lubricant.

You mean like numerous specialized prototypes, intense prototypes, mondraker prototypes went into production right? That UCI rule only applies to road racing.

You probably can, but you shouldn't. Any bearing even with the "gothic arch" style race design will experience microscopic amounts skidding. Running a bearing dry might feel good in an unloaded test but the moment the load is applied lubricants will help

I'll send them a letter back telling them I look forward to cooperating with them when I intend to take the bike to market, which is never. If they want to get between me and my hobby I'm more than happy just ignoring them 😂
