5/23/2025 5:47am i also find it interesting that it only mentions the new saint derailler, and instead specs XTR brakes, and raceface cranks instead of saint for those.

5/23/2025 5:32am All that is needed for the new Rallon is for Fox to release the USD fork so the same front wheel can be used in enduro and DH mode.

5/22/2025 10:54am here we go, he actually indicated he's facing them in certain circumstances: " Some of the issues are in the painted drop outs. Uneven paint can cause misalignment. I had a facing tool made so we could skim paint off and face the drop outs. This is not a straight forward process either. I found that you can actually adjust...

5/22/2025 10:36am he definitely has been careful to keep it under wraps, but based on some of the prior pics / vids he's posted, I was wondering if he is facing the dropouts? one of the aspects he's examining is alignment the the hub is clamped in vs not clamped.

5/22/2025 10:30am After 2 years in the trenches dealing with fork friction issues, this is what I have found: In hundreds of forks taken apart and checked for chassis alignment/bushing fit, tight bushings account for maybe 5% of the friction problems. It is almost always the chassis/CSU alignment causing the issue. In rare cases burnishing (or opening up the bushings) is the only way to get any improvement, even though the individual fit on each side is good. But in general it is the last resort (unless when testing each leg individually you find a tight fit). If the lowers are fully...

5/22/2025 6:15am Did the old brightness trick on the EXT pic from their instagram. Cant tell much from the pic, but there are some differences compared to the V4. Cant spot it from this angle, but if its a cheaper version as someone earlier commented, we can suspect that it doesnt come with an HBO, or at least not an adjustable one as the V4. Adjustors/lockout look similar otherwise. Possibly a normal/heavy spring instead of their lighter springs. And it looks to be a "regular" chrome(?) shaft, instead of the V4's DLC coated shaft. Might be some other differences, but it will...

5/21/2025 5:08am Somebody asked about fork dampers on Vorsprung's IG last week, and they said "sure", or words to that effect. I emailed Vorsprung asking if they could make a 38 damper, and they replied that Steve has designs started, there is no guaranteed timeline, but that they can likely make one that's cost competitive vs the GRIP X2 and Charger 3.1 dampers. When I regained consciousness, I posted about it here.

5/20/2025 7:00am i'd agree that fewer companies are offering prebuilt wheels with 20mm hubs, and companies that are just getting into hubs (oneup) aren't offering 20mm. but there are still plenty of 20mm hub options available: king, hope, hadley, DT, i9, onyx, novatec, shimano, sram, sun ringle, reverse, e13, project 321, i'm sure there's more.

5/19/2025 9:06am Quoting Roost here to keep it in line, but not calling you out specifically because so much talk on DH hubs. Here is the thing... any rider purchasing this fork (by itself or on a bike) will be running hubs that can do both 15 and 20mm boost spacing. This isnt a new thing to have a convertibale hoba and most (couple small outliers) 15mm x110 boost hubs can convert to 20 mm with an endcap swap. This isn't a major chang in anyones hub and usually shouldnt require a relace or anything like that. Fox didnt go with some...
