Speaking of axing the official Jr Categories at World Cups; I grew up racing in the junior category at World Cups in North America. Under the NORBA and Gestev regimes North American world cups always had amateur racing. If you were fast af and had a racing age of 17 or 18 you could enter the big dance, otherwise you were at the kids table. It was sweet.
