Galfer released floating shark rotors. The Kashima one would look pretty rad a Podium fork. Too bad it is not 2.3mm thick. Also in their Instagram comments they said their own brakes should be coming out in 2026. https://galfer.eu/bike/galfer-takes-its-shark-line-to-the-next-level-wi…

Long time wc photographer D ave Trumpore left this comment on pinkbike in relation to Daprella not being included in any photos. " if you punch someone in the face and don't get charged with assault that doesn't mean you didn't punch them in the face... and often times money buys silence ;-)" supporting the allegations and rumours of a payout/ threat of legal action to sites. Is quite saddening to see allegations of such a nature be so easily brushed under the rug with money even in the small world of mtb.

I also read that statement in the context that it is applicable to single crown forks. i wonder how the equation would change if they tried to package it as a dual crown. if they were happy enough with the podium to put it into production, I would be surprised if they aren't at the very least assessing a dual...

Re: lack of 180 option, from the other site: "The primary reason we're not seeing Podiums with more than 170mm of travel comes down to weight - adding any more travel necessitates higher chassis stiffness, and that meant adding even more weight to an already heavy fork."

If I had to guess, that zip-tie on the linkage is so people don't try to cycle the linkage because the shock doesn't work. I find it much more likely that the rear shock isn't pressurized than someone went through all the effort to make that frame but it doesn't work. It's way easier to make a bike frame (especially with that lugs-and-tubes design) than a functioning rear shock that can contain the 200psi people will cram in it. I have doubts the company will survive coming into the market with such a wide range of offerings, historically it seems...

Using weed based composites in vehicle production is nothing new, they were doing it years ago. 🤣

Thank you! I appreciate it a lot. It was really fun to get to pick everyone's brains at Leogang. Super cool opportunity, and I'm glad people enjoy listening.

Having ridden one of these for a few days I can confirm its a truly amazing fork. The front wheel gives so much more grip and tracks the ground like no other fork I have ridden. The support and composure are fantastic, out of the box it is just great. I pumped it up to the recommended pressure, dialed in the rebound and compression as Fox advised and rode it, I have yet to feel the need to change anything.

It's clearly intended to be a Halo product. I assume the regular 38 will continue to exist and will be significantly cheaper than the Podium.
