Dual uprights on the rear triangle. Size specific chainstay lengths. You seem to have some animosity towards Santa Cruz. They are not nearly as exclusive as you have made them out to be in your mind. When a bike is launched that doesn’t fit my needs or is from a brand I’m not crazy about, I don’t rag on it...

Anyone who is posting as companies saying welcome, and things like that are trolling. We spend all these months getting ready to make a big announcement but hey lets just say yeah we signed him in a random comment on IG about his leaving his old sponsors.

Everyone who thinks Vergier cannot be successful without Jordi be ready to have your minds blown: Jordi is moving to SRAM/Rock Shox. I saw it kinda implied on the Instagram of Jordi’s girlfriend. I also inferred from the Instagram of Vergier’s cousin that Loris is personally supplementing Jordi’s income to make the move. Everyone knows Rock Shox sucks because all...

I would think Trummer is YTs #1, although it's rad finally seeing how well Angel can do when he stays healthy.

Michigan has hosted FIS World Cup ski events in the past and likely will again in the future. Michigan also hosted NORBA races back when that series was bigger and more important than UCI. You need a variety of tracks to put on a proper UCI DH schedule.

MPH24 Liked a reply to forum topic Should the UCI do more double headers? (in non-pandemic years)

I think there would be venues that would be able to pull off two track options, where at least 60% (more than half) of the track is different for the second race. The UCI would need to throw a carrot out there for the venue but with enough notice (1+ years), I think this is really doable for any bike park, especially one trying to grow and build more trail. I like the idea of the double header for race weekend 1 and the final. It also makes a lot of sense for the N. America stops if you have...

In 1992 I didn’t think it could get any better than my Giant ATX. In 1994 I was convinced my Trek 8000 was the pinnacle. In 1999 a DBR X6 was my first full suspension bike. USA made with a Marzocchi Junior T with a QR axle. That was definitely the shit. Then in 2002 I got a Bullit with...

jive turkey Added a comment about press release 2020 Red Bull Rampage is Canceled

Bummer, but this was expected. The first sentence of this article makes it sound like the Rampage has happened every year since 2001. There was no Rampage in ‘05, ‘06, ‘07, ‘09, and ‘11 as well. I don’t know that it was ever intended to be run every single year (as great of a party as it is.)

MSRP may be $90, but MAP is often like $68. That is what you should realistically expect to pay.

$65 with no middle man strikes me as kinda expensive. MAP (minimum advertised price) for most Maxxis models is less than $70. A direct to consumer cost of $45-$50 would put them on par with the wholesale pricing of the the most expensive mtb tires available.

Back in 2000 I was telling people that eventually we'd have bikes with six inches of travel front and rear that pedaled well and weighed 30 lbs. That's what we now have...and I'm perfectly happy with that. Bikes have changed a lot in the last 20 years, but they're basically still the same. Some parts have gained more functionality(seatposts) and angles have changed, but advances in things like electronics technology(as mentioned by one person) are irrelevant to me since I see no need to drop cables. I like that bikes are mechanical systems and it's likely that my bike will...

Wow, I really just had to stop listening. I’ve never heard so much raw opinion, covered up with “just my personal opinion here”! Seriously, does nobody get that the “sport” of mountain biking is also just something people do for fun? It’s not dumbing things down, it’s building people up, letting people grow into the potential sport side of it. I’ve run a bike park in Germany for five years now, and I’ve watched kids grow from only riding our easy flow trail, to the bigger green trail, to our enduro trail, to racing iXS Cups and doing pretty well...

Cyclotoine Liked a comment about Press Release KC Dean Explores the Trails of Fairbanks, Alaska

I live North of 60 and I can appreciate that he is absolutely flying on these trails. My home trails are similar super fast and flowy and most riders don't see the opportunities for extra air because you have to be absolutely wide open. His bike choice is perfect. To scrub some of those bumps like he does you have to be absolutely railing it. It's impressive riding, but I can see how to the untrained eye used to seeing big feature and gnar it is not obvious.

Definitely just you're opinion. Not to be the guy that's been riding mountain bikes for 30 years or anything. Not sure I see the problem with highlighting the location with some just generally pretty good riding, but I see now you hold some predetermined distaste for the rider.
