DH will never achieve mainstream viewership. It's more boring than baseball if you're not a dedicated fan. Anyone who tells you DH is about to "break through" is selling you a bridge. The Rampage broadcast could achieve mainstream viewership in theory, but the way they broadcast it live is SOOOOOO long and boring, and it's a just once-a-year event which makes it hard for people to attach to. As it sits, watching a live Rampage broadcast is a mix of boredom, white hot panic, and frustration.

Would guess that Yoann has a bigger marketing value to brands than most WCDH racers outside of the top 10 and dudes like Kade, Brendan etc. Remy is an absolute master at the marketing/business side of the game and a professional at delivering quality content week in week out. The reach of those dudes between YouTube videos and IG reels/posts is crazy. For the record I love what they produce and the times I've run into them in the sea to sky they have both been the nicest dudes super stoked on riding. On the team rumours front, would think...

STREWTH, first “overbiked” and now “overtired”. Look mate, some folks only have one bike. It’s nice to have a big rig with meaty dh rubber. Just cos you see people riding mellow trails on big bikes doesn’t mean they don’t also see proper terrain and abuse. We get it, you’re amazing. You ride WC DH tracks on a XC unicycle with a 23mm slick. Good for you. DH casing tyres on trail/enduro bikes, yes please.

If my vest had sleeves, it would be a jacket…. you’re comparing a coil in-line shock designed for a Spur, with an air shock (with piggyback) designed for a Spire or TR-11, and are surprised that they are in fact close on weight?

I would also guess the lack of a need for a dropper post on a dedicated DH frame allowed them to use more of the seat tube for the additional linkage. I'm seconding @Primoz's concern about the high forces going into those dogbone pivots - the upper one in particular has a lot of leverage over the shock link, and I hope they have any potential durability problems sorted if it ever carries over to a production model. I do not know how you take care of your bike, but I guess you do it good. But in my case, I am realy carefull with my bikes, washing and lubricating them every 10-15 days, or after a meddy ride. I have an Aluminum 2014 Santa Cruz Heckler, and it does not have this problem. The problem started under the paint where the thread is welded to the frame, and spreaded under the paint.
