1. Brands will start to move away from a high pivot platform especially on their enduro bikes 2. There's going to be a resurgence in the trail/all mountain bike category (120mm - 140mm) 3. Enduro racing will continue to fade at a World Cup level but will still thrive at the National level 4. DH Racing will continue to be an extremely compelling series to follow 5. More E Bikes from obscure brands 6. Bikes are fucking fun and will continue to be no matter what you decide to ride

Since this has been one of the most prolific threads on the site, thanks for anyone who got things going, kept us informed or on the hook, or tossed everyone off the scent of that's was really happening until it did. And thanks for the Vital crew for switching to a yearly thread like team rumors.

Unovation? I vote for the SRAM 70/90 mechanical derailleurs. The average rider has no idea that their bent derailleur hanger is ruining their shifting. In terms of performance improvement for the masses, this is one of the best advances ever.

I'm going to preface this with "I absolutely zero interest in electronic shifting", but I think it's hard to argue against Shimano actually producing a wireless groupset being one of the biggest tech stories of the year. It might not be groundbreaking in the same way AXS was, but I appreciate SRAM doesn't have a monopoly on wireless anymore. I also think full production ready looking Specialized Demo dh bike being shown to the world is pretty huge after years and years of different prototypes.

The single most newsworthy innovation is widely available USD forks.
