idk ridemonkey users managed to scrape together about that much to buy itself out before their former corporate overlords were gonna pull the plug. i for one would pony up that amount, for me at least it's a far easier sell knowing my money would go to a proper mtb business rather than some international media conglomerate

One of the cooler things I’ve seen at a World Cup is Sven giving tips to one of those “locals” who clearly looked up to him. Even told him something like I’ll keep my eye out for ya at msa. I guess I just like the sport that’s encouraging folk to participate rather than talk about their credentials. As well as the sport where a racer could participate until they decided to quit or that success came. No I don’t think there’s 5 people at the top. But i do think 500 is a lot of money for some people...

Hi, long time WC media guy here (14 years long).. I'm also very curious to hear some names and facts about this from you But in the meantime let me share some of my own. Each team is allowed to register photographers and videographers (each team then receives a set number of photo and video bibs for the season). if someone doesnt work for a team they can register as independent media once they have letters of assignment from a verified media outlet. there are little to no restrictions as to what can be shot/posted. This hasnt changed since the...

Just cause their president is doing things I don’t understand or agree with doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate an American team doing great stuff within their respective sport and industry. Plus who doesn’t love a bit of Springsteen

You’re both welcome to leave at any time, nobody is keeping you here.

Other interesting bits: - Gunnar Franke from the YT Mob is now manager of the Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team - Greg Minnaar is on the rider list for NORCO X ADIDAS RACE DIVISION and not the management team. - YT RACING DEVELOPMENT continues as YT RD

Some enduro observations from the UCI Teams release I made: - the new rider Cube was teasing a while ago is William Scheele from Norway - the only rider registered for enduro at Pivot Factory Racing is Morgane Charre. What happened to Ed Masters? - there's a new Speed Project team, with Adrien Dailly, Melanie Pugin and Julie Duvert among others - there are only 5 times with EDR riders registered: Abetone Vittoria, Cube Action Team, Pivot Factory Racing, Speed Project, Yeti/Fox Factory Race Team

That explains why he doesn’t follow me anymore

cool to see Specialized investing in an enduro rider, and this dude rips. Lots of bad news in enduro lately, but this is good.

Very cool, I love it when places with not much elevation build fun trail centers. That's what will grow the sport. I looked up some pics and info on the park, looks like the real deal for sure, it's awesome how much support the family and volunteers are putting in, that's always a huge part of the equation that seems to get overlooked. Thanks again for the overview some rad stuff in Indiana.

I'm in the midwest, tell us more about Griffin Bike Park for sure. A former coworker took over the Farside bike park in Galena IL, I've been trying to link up a trip out there so another park to hit on the way would be awesome.

Appreciate the kind words 🙏 that genuinely means a lot. We try. We keep trying. And yeah, when I say we, I really do mean me. Still just one bloke doing everything: product, riders, logistics, emails at stupid o’clock, the lot. No staff, no big safety net. Just belief and stubbornness. The industry doesn’t make it easy for small independents. The big dogs have deeper pockets and louder voices, but that was always kind of the point. Do cool shit, build something authentic, and if it ruffles a few feathers along the way, so be it. I’m proud that Viris...

schroeder and i had a good hour-long podcast with gwin this morning. it'll be up tomorrow morning. he speaks pretty freely about everything and how it all works.

Looks stoked

He did.

I'm not even from the USA and I'm stoked as hell for this!

Good lord this thread is cooked
