Also the whole point of this stuff - from the brands' perspectives anyway - is not to have a race winner. It's to sell bikes. ALL this stuff is done so companies can sell bikes. If Specialized could push ONE rider off a cliff to their deaths but would then sell every bike they could make for the next 10 years, they'd start with Loic because he's the most expensive rider...and probably throw Finn off, too, just in case they found a loophole and sacrificing a second rider gives them an extra 10 years of sales. I have been extremely humbled. I recently got my first mountain bike. I’ve always ridden moto and offroad type racing. (Dirtbikes) I’ve skated, skied. This reads as an attempt to FORCE manufacturers to spec something they have no interest in trying to upsell to the consumer. SRAM minion - "OEM isn't wanting to spec this at the price point we're offering sir." SRAM corporate overlord (former at Coca Cola) - "Buy ad space on all the websites.
