Would've been interested but that back pad looks micro. One size definitely does not fit all. If your shorts are a different size your back is too.

Remember the era where a bunch of the teams ran re-painted versions of other companies frames (most famously the Intense M1), prototypes are tame compared to that.

If the UCI played hardball like that with the manufacturers, the OEMs would just pack up their stuff and go home. Downhill is mainly a marketing exercise for companies who participate. Very few companies are selling enough DH bikes to justify the money they spend in WC Downhill. They're hoping that their presence/results there will make you feel more confident in the performance of the rest of the bikes they produce and sell.

This was my dream bike back in the day. In late 1998 I managed to buy a Yeti DH-6 on clearance from my LBS (long time Schwinn dealer that could also get Yetis). I still have that bike although not much is original. Besides cracking the headtubes were really prone to ovalizing, but that is true of many frames from that era. I "fixed" mine using a King Steelset cup on the bottom. There are differences between the 97 and 98 Straight 6 models. The 97 was bass boat blue and came with Hope C2 brakes. The wireless tear off system went haywire more than once so people went back to mechanical. I have a feeling it would work a lot better now w/ more compact batteries & advances in signal technology. I would 100% use a RollOff system that had a button/clicker on the bars.

Alpine lifts have to shutdown when there is lightning, in Canada I believe it is within 50km of the mountain. That means everyone on the hill have to be driven down, riders, spectators, mechanics, mountain staff ect.... That's not a UCI or Warner Bros decision, it's out of their hands.

I'd buy property in places I want to ride (Squamish, Revelstoke, somewhere in Europe, etc) and host friends whenever they want to come out. Donate tons to different trail organizations and non-profits that promote cycling and make access easier to low-income and marginalized communities. Ride when/where I want. Maybe push the limits of N+1, but give so many bikes away. I don't think I'd invest in a team, or bike park or company. I want to ride bikes because it's fun and wouldn't want it to turn into work.

How I see it is that DH is always been the favourite among younger people, kids like to jump and wreck their bikes and bones. All the kids want to ride bike park DH bikes, you really need to enjoy suffering just to decide that "I'm an enduro guy and start with this sport that makes my body feel like shit" (like myself), rather than "hey let's go ride bike park and enjoy some smooth jumps with big ass bike". As for the e-bike side, it will grow to a point but never get close/surpass regular, just because those bikes...

no, the frame is designed to fit the SIDluxe and a FOX Float SL, that's it. I would have liked to make more shocks fit, but at some point I just had to wrap up and move on.

I don't understand the mentality of complaining about what standard a manufacturer uses. With the massive number of bike manufacturers out there you have more choices than ever.
