2/26/2023 4:47pm Santa Cruz acting like they make some high quality frames because they don't glue in liners but at the same time show a void in their carbon which the unnamed frame does not have. The glued in liners might not be pretty, but at least they don't play a part in the frame's integrity

2/26/2023 1:41pm God, not only is the reservoir butted up against the handlebar, the hose points up as well, making it impossible to route the hoses normally if you're not batshit crazy and don't go for a through-headset routed bike. As for FR1500, DTs FR wheels never fit the naming conventions of the 1900, 1700, 1501 and 1200 series. The current FR wheelset is the 1950 and comes with Jbend hubs and spokes, unlike the rest of the factory wheelsets.

2/23/2023 2:42pm With the EDR on the same day as the DHI Training, we will not see any riders competing in both races in Leogang I guess. I find that a little sad, because a lot of pros did both the EWS and DH events in the past when the calendar allowed it.

2/23/2023 2:38pm While we wait (impatiently) for racing to kick off, we've had a gander at the MTB World Series website and more specifically the schedules. Below are a couple of examples: Maydena (25th and 26th of March 2023) Maydena kicks off the EDR (Enduro World Cup) racing season and is also one of the 6 venues offering open amateur racing the day before the big race. The schedule looks tight with one day of practice and one day of racing, and we're not sure if there is still on-foot inspection the day before - nothing is listed in the schedule, and...

1/30/2023 10:30am Stages recently sold a big interest in the company to Giant, fwiw. Cycling Electronics is the dumbest market segment. The only electronics I want in mtb is Alex Rankin pointing a VX80 with a fisheye at someone flying sideways.

10/15/2022 4:26am Cables: Route them inside, no problem if that is done properly Brake hose: Leave that thing external. I hate having to disconnect the caliper from the hose just to route the hose through the frame. And if you put cables through the headset, I will never ever buy that bike!

10/15/2022 4:23am Nothing beats the previous gen Torque and Spectral for routing. Replaceable downtube protection and the look of internal routing, without actually being internal? Canyon dropped the ball by dropping it in the most recent gen.

10/15/2022 4:23am Fully external routing: fine. Internal routing, guided: fine. Internal routing, unguided, with large entrance and exit ports: also generally fine. Internal routing, unguided, with small entrance and exit ports: not fine. Through the headset: fuck all the way off.

9/27/2022 4:29pm Brand withdrawing from sponsoring ahtletes when the bike market was crazy enough that they didn't need to advertise to sell all their inventory in order to maximize profit, now restarting to sponsor athletes ... shows you how much they actually care about supporting bike racing and the development of our sport, keep an eye for those as many implemented this strategy of dropping teams like dirt socks at all the levels and disciplines of our sport.

8/18/2022 1:58am How come people are so interested in fullface helmet models? Its like this thread gets 50% of posts about helmets and the rest about all the other parts making up a bike.
