We've covered this on the previous page, someone said spec forks and shocks will make Pierron still much more rowdy and loose than Bruni. And I said 'make the tracks more twisty'. It would help, the speeds would be lower. People could still be rowdy, but if they crashed, they wouldn't ragdoll as much.

PB pimped themselves out to the most pretentious and douchey publication imaginable. Glad my join date pre-dates the influx that's coming lol.

I'm sure I heard either Rob or Claudio comment on the first world cup that this is Bernard Kerr's last season before retiring. Really hope that isn't true, one of my favorite riders on the WC

I'm just waiting for an integrated dropper/rear shock system. On a modern enduro rig post up probably means shock firmed up, and post down means shock open. One lever to rule them all. Integration could also add oil volume to a shock without adding more weight.

sam hill took all of 2020 off from racing and regarding matt walker, so far both races had very challenging and unpredictable conditions, IMO we can‘t really judge someone‘s form until there‘s a dry WE.

Oh, I dont know. Motorsports spec's parts in order to control this. I am not sure that that is feasible. Perhaps the way will be to stop creating boring, straight line tracks and start introducing rocks, roots, and turns into the runs. Self preservation will lead to slightly saner riding. Honestly, the DH tracks over the last couple of years, for the most part, have been really boring.

Would that even work though? If you put Bruni and Amaury on the exact same setup, Amaury wod still be half on the edge of control and flat out while Bruni would look like he was going half the pace. You can limit/even the tech, but you can't change the riding styles of the wild guys gunning for it.

She still has her Austrian Personalausweis (national ID card). Just less questions at customs, best of both worlds.

He said in an interview or podcast his compensation from intense was typical and no different from types of deals he has organized in past. He did say in the vital podcast he has a small stake (more a friendly fundraiser type thing) in the fancy underwear. Also keep in mind even the top guys a lot of their contract can be results based with bonuses rather than straight salary.

I wonder if pb will do an article about a spy photo being leaked from their website and then have a test ride the next day.

You haven't seen it more because the engineering behind it is very complex. Probably another model year or two before Taiwanese factories get it sorted out. Brands like Specialized and Trek have their own carbon engineering departments, most other brands rely heavily, if not totally, on carbon engineers in Asia. There may also be some patent things to get around but it's primarily the engineering complexity. It's easier to do if you make the frame heavy as hell but complex if you're trying to keep weight down. It also adds a lot of cost to the frame. Huge brands like...

This looks incredibly similar to the new unannounced Jekyll that Ropey has been riding. High pivot Horst link idler. Whats the point of Cannondale and GT being separate brands anymore? Seems to be it would make more sense for Cannondale to pretty much only have road & XC bikes, and for GT to only have AM, Enduro, and DH bikes. Maybe split duty on commuter/recreation bikes.

Katy Winton on her own team, Moxie XI. Sponsored by Nukeproof, sram, Troy Lee and her grandparents. Great it worked out for her, and apparently sram pulled some strings to help her out. They do get a lot of shit sometimes but cool to see that they're looking after their athletes.

Looks to be a diffrent front end form the one on the website, it seems to be longer and possibly lighter (look at the seat tube-top tube join). Although it could just be custom made for matt rather than a prototype

If you look at Wyn's instagram and the GTFR instagram it looks like he raced a DH race on this proto frame but with a dual crown on it. Between this and the norco team doing the same thing with the range prototype it might be a sign that many companies are totally phasing out DH bikes

That is quite patented. As for carbon Summum, they went Aluminium witht he 29er, the Session is Al, the Demo is Al as well... Carbon DH bikes just don't pay themselves off anymore, I think the era of carbon DH bikes is mostly over. There is no business case for it.

That idler keeps getting lower and lower with each generation. Are they eventually going to get rid of it when the hype about idler's is over?
